Stovold - Social Media Marketing - Cork, Ireland

Katrina Stovold

Cork, Ireland

Social media and content curation bring me a ridiculous amount of joy. It's combining tech with networking that does it - they are two of my favorite things. Favorite subjects to curate: visual effects, films and filmmaking, travel, animal welfare, science, and equality. is the place I learned blogging and social media. In a past life as a visual effects artist, I worked on Star Wars: Episode One (I also appeared as a tiny pixel far in the background in one scene). Other bits: earned the title of United States Marine, camped on the side of an active volcano, once drove Weird Al Yankovic from Santa Cruz to San Francisco, managed to get my hands on 2 Oscars, and am the proud holder of passports from the US and the UK. I love travel, reading, general geekery, and advocate for animal welfare. Puns, goofiness, and guffaws abound daily.

As a successful freelancer, I have great discipline and individual motivation. Always looking for new contracts and location-independent positions that fall within my areas of expertise and interest. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Digital Arts and Humanities at University College Cork.
