Manage of Food Services and Housekeeping department. Order supplies for both housekeeping and food services within budget, hiring, scheduling staff, payroll and discipline of staff. Keep Food Safe Standards up to the highest levels with training and coaching. Working alongside the Executive Director and Care Staff to keep residents healthy with a menu that meets Canada Food Guide Standard. Interact with the dietitian and implementing diets as they are prescript. Complete both company and Alberta Health Service audits on a monthly basis to ensure standards are met in both Food Service and Housekeeping. Chair a Health and Safety committee to monitor all hazards and injury plus complete monthly audit of work environment. Give Safety and QA talks on a daily basis along with having the staff complete daily stretches to prevent repetitive injury.


Compass Group Canada, Morrison, VIHA

Forecast food for distribution for all VIHA site. Supervise cooks and all prep staff that prepare the food for all the facility. Oversee the tray assembly area. Monitor all food wastage and labor for all the area. Implement HAACP in all areas for food control and ensure the standard food safe guidelines put out by the company and Public Health Inspector are followed.


Royal Jubilee Hospital

Supervising of staff consisting of cooks, salad and sandwich prep area, porters and dietary aides. Complete scheduling and pay books. Order all supplies to run Eric Martin kitchen serving 100 patients in house and 100 patients in Memorial Pavilion. Supervise the preparation and distribution of up to 300 meals a day for Meals on Wheels. Attend meetings concerning patient care. Set up the decentralized meal services for Memorial from Eric Martin coordinating food preparation and delivery times. Opening and closing of small ward kitchens due to asbestos removal.


Gorge Road Hospital

Write menus for specified diet ordered by the Dietitian or Dr. The diet consisted of patients with renal failure, cardiac, liver failure, and other diets required following the B.C. Diet Manual. Supervise diet clerks and other diet technician working in the same office.
