Cardiff Award Manager
April 2012 - April 2012
I am responsible for the design, development and delivery of the Cardiff Award. The Award provides Cardiff University students with an opportunity to gain official recognition for the learning acquired via extra-curricular activities and/or work experience. It aims to improve students employability, increasing their self awareness and enabling them to sell their skills effectively to future recruiters.
The Cardiff Award is recognised by industry: Ernst and Young are the principal sponsor and additional sponsors include Rate My Placement, Champions Life Academy, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Petersens.
The Cardiff Award is a collaborative project and uses expertise from industry, University Schools and the Students' Union, this ensure it meets the needs of students and recruiters.
It is is open to all undergraduates but it is principally aimed at penultimate year students so they are more prepared for the application process in their final year
