⦁ Responsible for managing clinic patiens and schedules on daily basis, enabling each appointment to run on time and minimise waiting hours.
⦁ Ensuring patients got the best possible care and attention was always the first priority allowing them time to discuss any questions or concerns they might have.
⦁ Worked under supervision with the doctors but also worked under my own initiative without the need for supervision from my superiors.
⦁ Responsible for maintaining a high level of hygiene and patient health and safety. This prevented any transmission of germs and created a safe working enviroment.
⦁ Clinic sessions mainly consisted of Electrotherapy sessions. Preparing the patient and applying the treatment dependent on the injury.
⦁ Movement exercises, focusing on the upper and lower body, were conducted in the in-house gym consisting of a range of exercise machines and free weights.
⦁ Created a number of movement specific programs dependent on patient age, condition and fitness levels.
⦁ Assisted the doctors in managing and documenting patient progress and reacted to fluctuations by reducing or increasing the level of activity in the program.
⦁ Programs were also developed to enable my patients to complete certain exercises at home, rather than limiting them to the weekly sessions at the clinic.
⦁ Afternoon rounds consisted of visiting patients in the hospital wing. Patiens on the wards had more serious conditions relating to osteoathritis, brain injuries, different types of cancer and amputations. All required different levels of movement therapy.
⦁ Developed strong communication and empathy skills when dealing with patients allowing them to be fully informed and comfortable of the treatment they were receiving.
⦁ Proactively reviewed next day appointments and prepared the treatments areas to minimise impact to patients the following morning.
