I Love to share my skills. To create an artwork for someone is like giving a part of yourself, for that person who now owns the work it is now a part of them something to gaze at and get lost in. I love to create for, but also love to encourage and grow creativity in others in the visual arts field. I am also fascinated by the connection between art and its role in healing.
If you would like face painting for a kids party or some other such event where face painting would add to the fun I would love to help you out. If you would like a beautiful pencil sketch portrait done of anyone, I would love to do this for you. If you would like a completely unique "Name Art" piece as a gift for someone special this is a gorgeous original gift that will be loved and treasured. If anyone would like a workshop done in face painting, drawing or any arty fun workshop for any age I love running any such thing like this. If you would like a party that includes both face painting and a creative art/craft activity I would love to do this for you as well. Look forward to hearing from you!
Artist Teacher Trainer
- Part time
Have taught art in various settings and done training for face painting. Love to combine my skills in art and teaching for any ages (kids right up to adults) for parties or for any group that would like a fun artistic creative workshop.
From January 2011
Have been home schooling for the last 4 years my 3 eldest children. Before then I did part time kinder teaching and before then part time primary teaching - (performing arts, music, drama, art, support and extension groups amongst other things) and before then full time classroom Primary teaching (grades prep - 2). Lots of fun love working with all ages doing creative things!
Have done face painting since I was a teenager but bought my first professional paints in 2009. I got a few hints from another professional face painter who put me on to my supplier "The Looney Bin" (ha ha free advertising, lucky Looney Bin)! Apart from these early hints I am self taught. My designs are pretty unique as far as I can Google! I have had many busy market stalls face painting and done birthday parties, festivals, playgroups, and other events for various organisations. I have done a workshop for a youth group of varying skills and experience which was lots of fun! I love showing tricks so that even the person who considers them selves as the least skilled can get a great effect!
Though I only have a few photos I actually have been doing portraits since I was a teenager. I have the privilege to have my dad "Joseph Attard" as a tutor as he is a portrait (and Landscape) realist artist. So he has been tutoring me since I was a teenager. I have worked mostly with pastel but recently have gone back to using grey lead pencil as it is most achievable working around my busy family and I just love doing them in grey lead!
Artist (Name Art)
I have been doing "Name Art" since the beginning of 2014. I enjoyed doing them so much that I am itching for the next opportunity to make one. I am so excited about creating a new design for each person. I am using coloured pencil on a quality drawing paper for these and selling them as is or framed depending on what the client wants. I have given them as gifts to my friends and my kids friends and they always get a fantastic response with parents and kids alike delighted and captivated by them which is so lovely to see. My designs are completely unique and each new piece is a new design starting from scratch!
I have been face painting since I was a teenager. So I have been perfecting my designs for a while now. I am self taught with a few hints from a professional when I first bought my professional paints in 2009. Here's some happy little faces to check out!
Pencil Sketch Portraits
I have been doing pencil sketch portraits for years. I do colour pastel portraits and charcoal portraits as well but I really love these grey lead pencil sketch drawings they are my favourite! So here is some to check out!!!
I have written the text for 3 children's books. They have been waiting for me to illustrate them, I have been working away at them bit by bit, pencil mark by pencil mark and brush stroke by brush stroke. I use pastel, or pencil and watercolour. The plan is to publish them once the illustrations are complete. Check some of the illustrations so far!
I love, love, love, making these. So "Name Art" is where you take a persons name and create an art work out of their name. I really love to do the initial letter of the name as an animal shaped like the first letter and often can match this animal with the favourite animal of that person. Each of these are completely unique one of originals designed around the interests of each person. Or sometimes its just based on what the client would like done!
