Karunanithi Murugiah started his career as a government school teacher. Over the years became an entrepreneur, lecturer, trainer, organisational psychologist and consultants. His academic credentials are an MBA in International Management from AMMO-RMIT University Programme, a Bachelor of Business in Business Administration from RMIT University, a Diploma in Management from MIM and a Diploma in HRM from MIHRM. A PhD Candidate in Marketing and in the final stage of completion.
In the academic discipline, Karunanithi Murugiah has lectured, developed, managed and lead many institutions to excellent performance in many external and internal examination and business growth. He has produced many world and president’s awards. To date, he has taken the post of Dean and strategically managing the School of Business with all the qualities of leadership, mentoring, liaison and advisory roles.
In the people development sector, nearly for a decade Karunanithi Murugiah has done many training programmes ranging from one or two days workshops to life long learning programmes. His base with MIM and MIHRM has taken him to various organisations all over the country and abroad. His forte in conducting Business Strategies, Marketing, HRM and Psychology inter twinned training modules with strong concepts, context and construct from modernist to post-modernist perspective are indeed the hall mark of success.

HR Dinner Night
In 2009 organized the HR Dinner Night to foster a platform of networking between the final year students with the industry captains. A total of 250 Hr professional from the hotel, banking, insurance, property developers and It industry sectors of both local and international companies took part in this event.
A panel speaker from UK was present to share the latest development in HR and various discussion were put forward ie Gen Y and their expectation and the do's and don'ts.
It was a well received event at the university. .
