Record and validate test results in compliance with good clinical laboratory practice, hospital policies and laboratory protocols. Maintain a clean work area, laboratory equipment and instruments.

Research Technical Assistant: Collect and store specimens in a bio-bank and perform research experiments providing good quality research data that will help the scientists with their investigations.

Clinical Trials Phlebotomist: Provide phlebotomy services in an average of 15 to 25 patients daily. Strives to cultivate a safe and comfortable environment for patients and provide consistently utmost care with a personal touch.

 Executed and analyzed tests in different areas of the laboratory by way of staff rotations:
1) Molecular Laboratory: Performed nucleic acid extraction on blood and other body fluids; detection and quantification of infectious agents namely HBV and HCV Viral Load, PCR detection of Mycobacteria most importantly M. tuberculosis; and line probe assays to genotype HBV and HCV and detect mutant strains of HBV acquiring drug resistance.
2) HLA Laboratory: Performed lymphocyte isolation for immunological studies directed to histocompatibility antigens and cellular immunity of transplant recipients and their potential donors. Determined HLA alleles using both the serologic testing and the PCR-SSP method with coarse background in luminex technology. Tasked to do Panel Reactive Antibody Test on transplant patients upon request.
3) Cellular Immunology and Flow Cytometry Laboratory: Performed kit based gel and capillary electrophoresis techniques on blood hemoglobin, serum and urine proteins as well as immunofixation procedures. Processed bone marrow aspirate and peripheral blood specimens for immunophenotyping using monoclonal antibodies and flow cytometric analysis to determine various blood diseases and abnormalities, immunodeficiency and malignancy. Performed Dendritic and Stem Cell Assay on FACSCalibur technology.
4) Immunochemistry Laboratory: Performed determination of immunologic disorders and biomarkers using manual and automated ELISA procedures, ImmunoCAP technology and COBAS Total Laboratory Automation.
 Participated in External Quality Assurance Program to ensure valid and reliable reporting of results and granted to be an official result signatory by Philippine Accreditation Office during ISO Accreditation of the NKTI laboratory.
