Consultant / DPD - Management of a project funded by the Asian Development Bank on Legal Assistance, Governance and Anti corruption. Experience in Human Resources Development and institutional building, experience in working with international donors in program development, and program implementation, experience in monitoring and evaluating project activities, experience in providing legal advise on issues relating to rights, commercial and finance related disputes arisen as a result of tsunami.


Having being admitted and enrolled as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in 1995 I commenced my practice as an Attorney-at-Law in Colombo with former International Bar Association President the late Desmond Fernando President’s Counsel.
knowledge and experience in the areas of commercial law, Civil Law, Company, law, intellectual property law, labour law and laws relating to finance and insurance.

Provided legal services to foreign companies such as Daiwa Company of Japan, Wacom Company of Japan, American & Effird USA, Gem Tokyo and Daimai of Japan, Wild Flower Hall (Pvt) Limited, DHA Siamwalla Ltd Thailand and International Recreation Resorts (Pvt) Ltd, Australia. Handled many action-in-rem cases in the field of shipping in the High court of Colombo. Incorporated many companies and was engaged in trademark registration for a reputed US Company.

Represented Sri Lanka as a panelist at Session 12 on ‘strengthening judicial capacity to decide Environmental cases and resisting threats to integrity at the ‘Asian Judges Symposium on Environmental Decision-Making, the Rule of Law, in Manila Philippines.

Chief Executive Officer - of the Institute for the Development of Commercial Law and Practice and the Arbitration Centre. Experience in administration, organizing seminars, workshops and discussions to promote arbitration in Sri Lanka. Administer and Manage institutional arbitration. Experience in coordinating with foreign Arbitration Centers.
