Assistant to Tom Doidge-Harrison

This was an internship as part of my 4th year high school work experience. The role was Assistant to Tom Doidge-Harrison, who is a Lahinch based surfer and Founder of DH Surfboards - a company that specialises in handcrafted surfboards for any surfer and any wave. Tom is also a Surf Ambassador at Patagonia Inc. (USA) and through this work, I gained valuable exposure to the niche craft of surfboard fabrication and manufacturing as well as commercial know-how in person and via the website (

Training in surfboard design and fabrication.
Ad-hoc assistant duties (customer queries, phone calls, emails).
