The project on the subject of air protection

The project consists of two parts:
The first part was related to the industry. The project was a calculation of the distance from the maximum emission of NO2 air pollution and find ways to reduce these emissions if have been exceeded acceptable levels.

The second part concerned the household. The project is to determine the total electricity consumption in a single-family apartment and additionally to the theme of the project determine the corresponding CO2 emissions.

The content of cadmium and lead in Buckwheat

The pot experiment was carried out i 2011 in vegetation hall of Agricultural and Environment Chemistry Department of Agricultural University in Krakow. Buckwheat variety "Panda" was used as a test plant. Soil collected for the study came from two places: Bukowno and Mydlniki. The whole experience was divided into 12 objects. To each object added the appropriate dose of heavy metals and NPK fertilizers in the form of suitable salts. Purpose of the experiment as to evaluate the accumulation of cadmium and lead in buckwheat which is growing on soils contamined to varying degrees, these metals. The content of heavy metals was determined by using atomic emission spectrometer with inductively coupled argon plasma Perkin Elmer ICP-OES.

Polish soil classification

Field trips with the aim of testing, analysis and classification of different types of soils, place of sampling, for example Babiogórski National Park, the area of Krakow, and the Silesian industrial district. The project was aimed at understanding and imaging diversity of soils in Poland
