I have been able to work and achieve results under high pressure as I head a team of over 20 people to carry out projects works, maintenance works and Planned preventive maintenance on machines and equipment including HVAC.
I work closely with both service and building contractors to ensure required standards are achieved on both projects and machines/Equipment under service contract.
Being a member of environmental health and safety, I have ensured safety measures at work place by provision of necessary protective gears and conducive environment particularly for maintenance related works.
I have been in charge of utilities such us water, electricity, fuel and I provide monthly estimates for the same to our finance department and we compare this with the actual bill we receive. In case of variances, I take mitigation measures with a view of reducing energy costs.
I have over 10 years experience on both hands on and management and the maintenance section which I head have on various occasions received recommendations from both our internal and external auditors- Kenya Bureau of Standards on keeping up with ISO standards and laid down procedures and work instructions.
Record keeping is very essential in my work and this has been achieved by retrieving all the necessary records when called upon just to mention a few; Annual electricity,fuel, water andgas consumptions.
