During this time I also secured funding for some external training to the value of £280,000 and worked with external providers to set up an e-learning programme for the company.
I helped deliver a professional and high quality training service to the company.
I was responsible for the development and implementation of training programs, lesson plans and training strategies for the company, ensuring the company provided skilled competent staff to work with vulnerable adults living with Dementia and Nursing needs.
All training required reflected current legal and contractual obligations. I was also tasked with identifying resources to support the training function.
I did all formal training necessary to fulfil this role.
I designed planed and implement an effective Induction program, as well as all class room based training for mandated areas.

I was responsible for delivering training to 398 staff in 12 homes for a privately owned national group of Care Homes. I was responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of all Statutory and Mandatory Training for all of the staff employed in the 12 homes, along with ensuring developmental training is identified and delivered in order to ensure we continue to deliver excellent quality care to our Service Users. I actively teach across all areas of Statutory and Mandatory health care training including, Health & Safety, Fire Training, Infection Control, Moving & Handling and all other health related topics that are pertinent to Care Homes. I have also been delivering extensively on Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow (Alzheimer's Society) Dementia Training and my nursing background has provided me with extensive knowledge and the ability to adapt and deliver training to focus groups as needed. I am also a CIEH accredited trainer and can deliver Food Hygiene Level 2 and 3, Moving and Handling, Health and Safety Level 2 and Risk Assessment.

I have been responsible for ensuring the uptake of in-house e-learning within the East Region and have achieved 90% compliance in Statutory and Mandatory training by training, encouraging, motivating and setting goals for the Homes, in relation to both e-learning and delivered training to ensure compliance in the 5 key critical training areas identified by the Organisation. I also project managed, identified candidates and monitored the NVQ compliance of the homes that I was responsible for, in relation to the Care Standards Act and facilitating and managing the external contract with our preferred service provider. I also project managed, identified training needs, developed, delivered and rolled out an Organisational best practice template for induction for all staff in two newly commissioned homes.
