I began learning the Pilates method fifteen years ago with Graciela Kaplan and was delighted with the remarkable improvement to My posture and energy levels. Pilates also rectified a neck and shoulder problem that previously needed regular visits to an Osteopath. I have attended regular sessions with Keely at Lancashire Pilates since Gra's move abroad.
In 2006 I qualified as a Reps Level 3 Fitness and Dance Instructor with the KFA and in 2009 went on to do a Specialist Qualification to teach Exercise and Dance to Older Adults which included Chair Exercise for the Frail and Elderly.
I am keen for Pilates to be practiced alongside a safe and effective Cardio Vascular exercise program so in 2013 became a Nordic Walking UK Instructor.
I gained my CYQ Level 3 Pilates Qualification through The Thoughtful Body Training Programme in Derby with Rachel Rafiefar and am currently studying further with The Thoughtful Body which includes a mentorship programme at the Lancashire Pilates Studio.
I am keen to work with clients on a 2:1 or 1:1 basis offering Pilates Matwork and Small Apparatus sessions for postural stability, core strengthening and general fitness.
I teach Exercise through Movement and Dance at Hallfold Church in Whitworth on Tuesday Evenings.
