International Creative Director
Europe and the Middle East
During 2000, Julia made the break from commercial production to work with Advertising agencies. She began her career as a consultant to Leo Burnett and Ogilvy Mather working with them to bring their clients onto television. During this time she began to create, develop and write long form television shows for some of the biggest names in Television, form The Apprentice, Survivor and of course Idols. As her reputation evolved, soon agencies were asking her to help them pitch for new business on a regular basis. Julia' knowledge of new media began to put her in high demand, as she was able to combine classic media platforms with progressive and new platforms and think out of the box in creative concepts that were more budget savvy and had a longer reach.
Over the past decade, Julia has worked in Africa, Europe and the Middle East as an International Creative Director in both film and in Advertising, her sole responsibility was simply to open up new doors in creative thinking and use her talent and experience to contribute to advertising agency teams, storyboards, strategic thinkers and their clients.
Her background in film lends itself to critical detail thinking where it is important to maintain an eye on composition, framing, colour and beauty. Her writing skills are renowned, so much so that she continues to this day to be a freelance columnist for O magazine South Africa and Move Magazine. Her English Language is used to help CEO's and Agencies to this day, to rewrite and edit body copy and presentations.
Julia is a 360 degree Creative and Business Director, from Concept to Execution; she is truly enjoyable to watch, Her role has always been to create her own opportunities and execute each one of them
