Job Description:
Ensure that all requirements in terms of the Act and in particular in terms of the Construction
Regulations are met.
Ensure that all appointed contractors comply with the requirements as stipulated in the Construction
Regulations.
Enforce discipline at the project sites all times
Ensure that all records, registers and required lists are maintained according to the HSE Plan.
Perform HSE inspections at Site offices and project sites.
Ensure all new and transferred employees receive induction training.
Perform job observation on employees and contractors.
Carry out risk assessments prior to the commencement of construction work and any other risk
assessment that may be required for the duration of the construction work.
Ensure that all risks are identified and analyzed and that safe working procedures are drafted and implemented to reduce, mitigate or controls the hazards that were identified.
Prepare HSE weekly and monthly reports for each project.
Maintain statistics for exposure hours and incidents.
Maintain training matrix on employees.
Prepare HSE documents for new projects.
