a) Completion of the current updated project report concerning the 'Luxury Manjaree Villa' hotel project.
This includes the concept of offering socio-cultural benefits to the community in a eco-cultural tourism project.

The curriculum includes teaching, a comprehensive career success programme to youth, to face modern day challenges in making their mark in related fields.

Under the above program the undersigned successfully completed a training programme to acquire the necessary teaching techniques US-Aid training centre in Srilanka.

b) Initiation of a permanent Training facility, The Eastern Academy" in the corporate of the company to train more than 6000 employees of the organization. We conduct basic learning sessions for leadership, career goal attainments, motivation, and many other career success skills training programmes.

c)The hotel training centre which is affiliated to our corporate training centre, is directly under my supervision, is currently training a batch of 20 students, in basic hotel and catering management. The curricular includes basic reception, Good house keeping practices, and restaurant services.

My job duties included responsibility of running two medium size 4 star hotels in the South cost of Sri Lanka. I had the opportunity in participating in the World Tourisam Fair in London in November 2004.

I manged the marketing aspects of these two hotels and was responsible for all functional development of the hotels. These duties included coordinating all sales & marketing activities, general administration & human resources management, coordinating all financial reporting, controlling all debtors & creditors, task force development activities, strategic planning and maintenance and development of plant & machinery.

General Manager

Shah's Resort Hotel Malaysia

June 2002 - December 2003

This was an expatriate status employment in Malaysia. I was appointed as General Manager, for both hotels in Kuala Lumpur and Malacca.

My duties entail me in assuring a smooth operation, with emphasis on streamlining the operation to maximize profits.

In addition to the above function, I have been entrusted in execution of the refurbishment programmes in upgrading the properties. The beach property in Malacca having an 80 year old heritage background is being presently upgraded to a boutique concept, with a view of catering to an up market clientele.

My duties entail me in heading the marketing, and conceptualizing of sales strategies for both properties, whilst managing and coordinating the finances.

I am also being entrusted with the additional duty of landscaping the existing Malacca Resort into a theme entity. Landscaping has being an added forte in my career spanning 22 years in the hotel industry.

However, due to the downward trend in Malaysian economy and drop in tourism I terminated my employment earlier than my employment contract period.

I joind the Tea Factory hotel at the time it was in its building stage and have developed it from scrach.

My job duties as General Manager included running the day to day
functions of the hotel, hotel administration & human resource
management, financial reporting, financial planning, marketing,
team building and strategic planning.

Having started my professional journey as a hotelier, I reached the pinnacle of a professional hotelier, managing one of the finest resort hotels in Sri Lanka. The journey took me to Malaysia and few other assignments before stepping into the present company, as a director/general manager.
