Vendor Surveillance Inspector

Report to ECMD, Inspection Coordinator for SYNGAS Project

Duties consisted of witnessing the Fabrication and Testing of Exchangers at Fabricators such as Yuba Tube and Shell, Dunn Exchangers, Excell and Ohmstead Exchangers and for Various Inspection companies on behalf of Exxon Syngas Project.
Perform Dimensional and Pressure testing of TEMA Class, Shells, Channel heads and Tube Sheet plates on Welded, U-Tube, Fixed Tube Sheet (AEU, BEU, CEU Type), Channel head w/ Cover (Dollar Plate) and Floating head (AES, AET, BEA, BES & BET Type) exchangers. Inspect various configurations of one pass, double pass, Split Flow, divided flow, cross flow and DKU Kettle type Re-boiler Bundle and Shells. Also various types of Straight, U-tube and fixed tube bundles with various baffle designs. Witnessed the testing of bundles using Test rings, the re-tubing, plugging and rolling of tubes. Inspect the fabrication and testing of Shells, Tubes and Bundles, Channel and Floating heads, using SA 516-70, 304 SS, 316 SS and 2205 Duplex.
QA Audits of vendors for various projects including pipe fabricators, coatings, linings, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, API storage tanks, piping and injection nozzles, hydro testing, and valves for installation for Sour Services.
