Cross Builders Ltd have been awarded the elusive STEM Award by Christopher Seaward of Kent County Council in recognition of Cross Builders commitment to building and renovating homes with products that are locally sourced, right for the job and that bring maximum benefit to the homeowner in terms of value, comfort and warmth in winter.
This award means that Cross Builders have shown a significant commitment to reducing waste and at the same time giving better than ever value.
This award has taken me 3 years to finally achieve!
Take a look at www.cross-builders.co.uk to see the wide range of building works that I offer: extensions, garages and driveways and of course structural repairs too.
Using a range of BBA aproved plasters from Bonding to Thistle Multi, you can be assured that I can tackle any plastering job you have- I have just completed a new ceiling for a customer in Hawkinge after the homeowner had fallen through the ceiling.

Fitting an oak beam to a 15th century building in the heart of Canterbury involved a team of 5 skilled carpenters and enormous feats of physical strength and courage as the 1/2 tonne of timber was hoisted up 12 metres above street level. Job was completed on time and on budget!
Builder And Carpenter
Lifting a length of heavy oak was not an easy task especially as it was in the centre of Canterbury High Street. Cutting and fitting the oak meant that teamwork was essential - and very sharp chisels as English oak is one of the hardest timbers.

15th century repairs in oak
Precision and accurate measuring were the key factors in fitting this huge section of solid oak to an ancient building in Canterbury. I had to ensure that the oak was fitted perfectly as it supported the entire weight of this Listed Grade 1 building.
