Prior to launching her career in medicine, Dr. Baird attended the College of Medicine at the Texas A&M University System Health Science Center. She received a scholarship for being the top female medical student entering the institution. She also engaged in research at the Baylor College of Medicine before earning her MD.

She completed a General Preventive Medicine residency in the Bloomberg School of Public Health and also provided consulting services to addiction treatment centers along the eastern shore of Maryland. Dr. Baird’s work appeared in the “Substance Abuse Treatment Review” during her time at Johns Hopkins, from which she received her Master‘s Degree in Public Health.

C. Marlo Baird, MD, serves as Medical Director of Growth and Recovery Services, which is a non-profit addiction services facility. In this role, she manages the counseling and medical staff, establishes the core of the facility, and creates new programs. Some of the issues addressed at the facility include alcohol abuse, drug dependency, and gambling compulsion. Offering counseling and a range of treatment options for individuals and their loved ones, the clinical staff addresses depression, trauma, codependency, and trust issues.
