What do you love most about your job?
The best part of my job is seeing clients realise that they have everything that they need within them to have healthy and fulfilled relationships, and that no matter what their concern was, that they are NORMAL.
I also love the the moment when I look back with clients on the journey that we have travelled on together and realise just how far they have come.
I really enjoy the challenge of approaching each client in a completely new way since no two people are the same. It forces me t continually see the world through different perspectives, and helps me to be a better communicator. I am sure I learn just as much from my clients as they do from me!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Working in ministry and number of years ago, I was surprised by the lack of understanding on sex and relationships shown by the general ministry staff, and attitudes toward sex and sexuality that simply did not reflect reality.
I saw broken marriages and relationships and women and men feeling unsatisfied with their sex lives, frustrated, often experiencing pain, and unable to communicate effectively with their partners about anything, while also unsure of how to speak to their children about healthy sexuality and relationships.
I knew that I had to start out on my own and meet a need that seemed to be going unnoticed in society.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am registered with WASC (world association of sex coaches) and certified as a relationship workshop facilitator which sets me apart from a number of coaches.
My approach to my work is to keep it as relaxed as possible. Clients are being very vulnerable with me, and the last thing anyone needs it the pressure to appear to be anything that they are not on top of it. I support where support is required and I am not afraid to point out areas for potential improvement and change.
I am not simply someone clients meet with for an hour and that is all. I am their biggest supporter and cheerleader on their journey.
Workshop Facilitator
I host online and in-person workshops on topics requested by the client relating to relationships and sexuality. I work with my client to refine workshop topics and come up with something to best suit their audience, be it corporate teaching on Sexual Health, or how rules of communication in relationships also apply to corporations, or Bridal Showers and more...
Educator
I develop and deliver online and in-person teaching and courses for parents, teachers and children, including courses on how to speak to your children about sex and relationships at various ages
Coaching
I provide online and in-person (Cape Town only) coaching in Relationship Intimacy, Sexual Anxiety, and Sexuality.
I work with clients to draw up a plan to help them reach their goals, and we begin our progress from there.
Each session is 1hour long and clients are able to bulk purchase sessions for up to 1 year in advance.
