We hired DJ Rudy for our wedding and he was beyond amazing. His services are professional. We had an initial meeting with him to discuss the program and he offered so much of advice which really helped a lot. WOW !!!!!. DJ Rudy played for my wedding this past weekend and man did this guy deliver. He blew me and my guests away. From the professional manner in which he presented himself for the occasion, to helping with the projector (which by the way was not part of his service but stepped in to help with the technical difficulty), to the playlist that kept 99% of my guests on the dance floor for 100% of the party. Reading the crowd, I normally use the period during dinner and deserts to judge the guests at the venue...
I mix in some specific genres and look at the room... whos interacting with the music in some way
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I am an open format DJ, that can play version different genres of music but have the knowledge of moving from genre to genre and still keeping it in the mix and keep the vibe going.
What do you love most about your job?
Making people forgetting all their problems, issues and everything else when I have them on the dance floor!
What inspired you to start your own business?
My corporate clients... More and more corporate clients approached me to DJ at their function (because I cater for all races of people).

Club DJ
DJ Rudy from Major Soundz is no stranger to the night club scene. With a DJ career starting in the late 90's, he is among the most accomplished and experienced DJs in Gauteng.
His DJ career started at underground clubs and small bars in and around Johannesburg CBD area, mixing a blend of House-Kwaito-Hip-Hop and RnB, this is where he learnt how to be a versatile DJ with skills and passion for mixing.
DJ Rudy also applied his skill in dance floors across Brazil including holding down a part time residency at “Reggae Night” a night club owned by Jimmy Cliff. While there he landed gigs to play at the Rio Carnival in 2000 and 2001 respectively.
Coming back to South Arica, DJ Rudy has held many resident slots at various clubs around Gauteng like, "Vaca-Loca", "Shoukara", "Party House", "Mint", "Eloquence", "Stones Cresta" and "Aqua Lounge" and guest slots at "Randlords", "The Sands" and "The Sound Room" just to name a few.
With that said, he carries an aura of professionalism with an infectious smile and will make you feel like you have been friends for years. He will listen to your vision, plan accordingly, and design and customize a playlist to your taste and mood for your event. He collaborates well with other vendors and planners to time your event with the appropriate musical accompaniment.
