The room was nice and clean, but it's time they updated their website. The putt-putt is no longer in a decent condition and the water slides are ruined and not in a working state due to the floods. The manager was nice.

We camped at Klipspruit River Resort for 4 nights just before New Year. At the time the Vaal river was flowing very strongly after heavy rains. We had thé best stand on the river bank, so we could watch the river as much as we want!They cater mostly for fishermen, but have nice amenities for the family as well. Two swimming pools, slip and slide, bar, and a small kiosk.Ablutions are serviced regularly, and hot water is provided via gas heating, so always available.We had a good time relaxing and bonding with the family! We just camped there for 4 days, on arrival I wasn't happy with the site we were assigned, but a quick chat to reception and they moved us to a much better spot. That spot had some access problems for our caravan though... Not a problem to them, they started their TLB and quickly leveled out the ground for us to get in with ease.Some of their facilities are definitely what you would call rustic, but everything is clean and their staff are friendly and helpful at all times. The kids loved the slides and the pools were welcome on the hot days. While I had no luck with fishing, several fish did come out over the weekend on other stands.All in all I can and will recommend this spot to everyone. We ran into several issues (all self inflicted ones due to our own ill preparation or bad planning) but the staff made sure to solve them all for us and did it quickly and with a smile always.Clean, quite, friendly and relaxing... What more can you ask for? More...

Staff are friendly and helpful. Phone lines do not work to make a booking so have to only chat on watsapp. Check if the roads are fine before going there as you can easily get stuck in the mud. We went when it was rainy and the river flooded the swimming pool and it rained quite a bit.However the place is very nice and lots to chill out to. Nice hall/ club house with some games, movies and disco.Dnt pay for a private bathroom as everyone still uses the same bathroom...lol.Cabins are cozy and clean for the price you pay.Overall well worth the trip there. Oh and one more thing is just make sure you have the correct directions as one road of gravel is 17km while the other route is 750m of gravel. Just ask in advance. More...
