What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Aside from having all of the technical aspects down pat, it's about watching and waiting; knowing how to read a room and anticipate the action before it happens. The best photographs happen when you're able to capture those special "in-between" moments - the big laughs, the sincere smiles, the teary-eyed speeches. Those special moments are what make a great photograph.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
When discussing a new project, my first line of questioning is always time, date, location, and budget. After that, it's what kind of 'look and feel' you're going for, as well as your intention with the images you'll receive (for use on social media, your website, advertising, etc.).
What do you love most about your job?
Getting to connect with new people and being able to share in their special moments - the joy of a wedding, the excitement of an engagement, the fun of a birthday party. I also love being able to bring clients' visions to life, whether it be for an advertising campaign or a personal passion project.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I'd always had a love for photography - it started from a young age as a form of bonding between myself, my father, and my grandfather. From there, it blossomed into a full-on passion and drive to create. I bounced around a few different jobs, all of which had me sitting at a desk or behind a sales counter - but I always felt happiest when I was out and about, on my feet, working and creating with other people. And so, I decided to take the plunge and pursue my passion full-time in the form of my own little business - where I'd be able to craft and create an endless amount of different projects with like-minded people.

I am a born creative, with an eye for composition, colour, aesthetics, and mood. I value enthusiasm, professionalism, and collaboration (as well as punctuality). Ontop of all that, I like to think I'm some decent fun to work with.
