How do I possibly thank you for your amazing service!!!!I can only start by explaining how the day of my wedding went we had to change absolutely everything location wise which meant all the planning done with Wilby weeks before were not happening. . we were expecting a thunder storm , which ended up not happening .. eventually The space we were crammed into was not working and the next thing I know the entire party was dancing their hearts out outside, Wilby ensured the party went on no matter what the circumstance , he kmew the last thing i needed to worry about was where we were going to dance haha , he was incredibly adaptable and never showed any sign of frustration when we had to move everything outside!! Used DJ Shazam as my wedding DJ on 07/05/2022 and was utterly disgusted by the service and the way he handled the stuff he messed up during the night.

He played the wrong first dance song and when he finally managed to fade out the wrong song and play the correct song he for some or other reason, restarted the song in the middle again. Hence double whammy for the opening of our dance floor. My husband and I was so embarrassed and the whole bridal party was disorientated because they didn't know when to join us on the floor. He didn't even apologized to us, just came with some lame excuse about the song skipped by accident.

He not only played the wrong song for the first dance, but when I had to throw my flowers he started to play "single ladies" after I explicitly said that I don't want single ladies as it is overrated. Finally, after I looked at him in disbelieve, he start playing the song that I requested. I don't understand why I had to fill out a form of 5 pages for my special request songs when he just goes ahead and plays what he wants.

We also paid for him and his son for food @R500pp because he was supposed to be his assistant for the night. Only his son was not there meaning I paid for no reason. Also no explanation for why his son did not show.

If it was not for the fact that he messed up two of my special request songs I would have given him a 5 star, because the music he played was actually good and the guests had a ball of a time on the dancefloor. More...

There are always two sides to a story....sometimes a third side which is the truth. At my arrival I informed the groom that I will be on my own as my assistant was in contact with two of his directors earlier that week. The photographers plug in their devices into my speaker and was shocked the first time, put onr speaker off the second. There was a glitch as Virtual DJ program jumped to the second song and when I faded it out, it uploaded the opening song on both drives. I walked over to the couple and explained what have happened and said I am sorry. After dinner the dance floor was openend with the right song. Most DJ's play 2 songs with the throw of the bouquet and removal of the garter. One with the announcement and one with the physical throw and removal. I played Single ladies with the announcement and the right selected song as requested with the throw of the bouquet. Two of the guests verbal abused me on the evening and I almost stopped the music to have the gentleman removed from my booth. The bad experience was not discussed with me before posting the review on Bark and my personal website. Afterwards I also told the bride that I am more than willing to refund the R500. It was out of my control and according to covid protocol. Afterward the wedding the couple recommended our services to other potential clients!
