I commissioned Deon to make a new solid wood bookshelf and to modify a display unit into a shelving unit. The results of the modification was beyond what I expected especially since I experienced poor workmanship from someone else who was previously commissioned to do the modification. This already attests to Deon’s level of skill as a carpenter. The new solid wood bookshelf is beautifully standing in my study waiting to be admired, any bookworm will understand the pure joy of such admiration. What do you love most about your job?
I love solving problems and making people happy, this is the main reason for me loving to create furniture - items that make my clients feel that they are special, that they have received a masterpiece of heirloom quality and that they received the personal attention they deserve.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Through the years, I have (like many others) had to deal with the frustration of having to make do with 'almost' right standard pieces of furniture. Finding Pieces that were the exact size, fit, colour etc. eluded me. My design experience and love for real wood, quality and style led me to begin creating bespoke pieces firstly for myself and then for the pleasure of others

We give great value for money: eg I personally visit you to assist you from planning, style and design right through to installation process.
I personally install your units and take great care in keeping the area as clean as possible and as an engineer, I can solve any problems arising, like skew walls etc. with well thought through solutions.
Timeless, space-saving design and handcrafted manufacturing takes time, planning, effort and problem-solving as each unit is unique and different in all its properties. It is not the same old cupboard than last time. We have to take special sizes and hiding spaces in consideration while manufacturing and this does take extra time but gives you the best you can dream about
