Overall the restaurant has far exceeded expectations on every visit. The food is great and the portions more than generous. The friendly staff makes you feel at home, and the setting is beautiful. The ABC (Avontuur Business Club) meeting I attended this morning was very inspiring and is a great place to network and to meet interesting people from the area. I have had a number of breakfasts at Avontuur and this is amazing! But today I had the opportunity to have a three course lunch paired with amazing wines. Our choices were perfect, the wild mushrooms for the starter, the pork rib eye and the duckling for mains, and the fried ice cream and the French chocolate tart for dessert (my dessert choice was the winner, the choc tart). By far the best wine farm restaurant I have ever been too. Food is out of this world amazing, the wine pairing with food is perfect and the portions for what you pay is more than generous.
