What do you love most about your job?
I look forward to seeing the people I help.
After working with each other , we build rapport and a relationship, the daily routine becomes smooth and the relationship we share is something that I look forward to. By being gentle, even-tempered and empathic, the person I help begins to relate to me, sharing their stories, worries and any concerns. By being able to help them, makes the rewards incalculable.
If you like being with people, caring for them and becoming an essential part of their life, then being a care worker is an amazing career to get into and I can vouch for this.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My decision to start my own company was mainly influenced by my love for people.Having watched my mothers ,aunts and myself dedicate their lives to serving others but lose their livelihoods due to Covid and struggle to find footing or link with patients broke my heart .Despite the loss ,I found my eureka moment and the push to start a business. My desire for people to live a quality life over a quantitative life remains the emotional and social quotient that I translate into my business muscle.

Unfortunately, caregiving requires contact. Remote work therefore is not feasible.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
The nature of our work is such that working in person is inevitable.With this in mind ,Apex Care prides itself in adhering to strict covid protocols in order to safeguard life.
Vacination is highly encouraged in all our carers.
If a carer wishes to travel they are not to return to work without quarantining first and confirm of negative COVID-19 results.
The elderly are quit frail and susceptible to COVID-19 for this reason carers are required to get tested upon any covid related symptoms.
Strict adherence to mask in public and social distancing is encouraged for our cares
Frail Care
Frail Care Services are provided for a person who is unable due to circumstances to look after him/herself. Frailness could be due to a number of factors including compromised physical health or mental stability. Our caregivers look after frail individuals by performing daily tasks necessary for their health. These include but are not limited to : Helping them to dress ,maintain personal hygiene, feeding them , move around , incontinence care etc.
Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care
A person with dementia might become agitated when once-simple tasks become difficult. To limit challenges we employ the following techniques amongst others :
•Schedule wisely : Bath time, medicine administration times , food timetable, etc.
•Take our time ,by anticipating that tasks may take longer. Dressing ,walking ,wheelchair rides are given extra time to be completed.
Chronic Care
Chronic Care centres around improving the quality of life with dignity.
