Heading out of the parks mall I saw this cupcake stand and even though I'm on a pretty strict diet at the moment, I love to support local bakers so I had to but at least ONE. Cream cheese frosting is my favorite so I opted for her seasonal tropical and let me tell you that I was NOT READY FOR IT! My favorite cupcake store no longer has a store front and they set the bar HIGH. Patricia is right up there with the best of them ! The cream cheese frosting still had that tartness that sometimes gets lost when too much sugar gets added; the cake had pieces of pineapple that were just lovely to bite into. The rum flavor was not overwhelming but just perfect! The cupcake had that made at home feel that you just cannot get at commercial bakeries regardless of how reputable the name is! I am not sure how often Patricia has her little set up at the mall but she is worth following on social media to keep up with and treat yourself to when you need a GOOD CUPCAKE! Based on her card and our conversation I know that she takes custom orders so please keep her in mind for your next party if you're in te DFW área! She has a fan with me!

1derfulbakes is a local woman owned home biz cake decorating. Â I ordered a cake for my son's bday and it was amazingly good tasting. Â Jackie the owner has perfected a great recipe for strawberry cake and her creations are superb, as showcased in her website.I would recommend this biz to anyone wanting to order and eat a very special cake for someone you love!! I love being able to bake sweet's that put a smile on people's face! The best part is getting to know people from all over the world in the process of baking goods with love and care, much like the celebrations for which the sweet's are desired! The best review I have ever gotten, which brought (happy) tears to my eye, was from a client that said she hadn't "been able to eat gluten, sugar, or diary for about 10 years and therefore [hadn't] had a birthday cake since [she] was 16 or 17!" I love that I was given the opportunity to make a Gluten Free, Sugar Free, Vegan cake for someone who not only loved the cake, but she was also given a memory and celebration that had been absent for a DECADE! That's why I love my job and why I love reviews from my clients.
I enjoy baking for my friends and family, but there is a joy that comes from baking for others. Every dish is made as they would be for my very own family! I grew up in an entrepreneurial family that owns a restaurant, marketing business, and even a wine business! Needless to say, business is my blood but more importantly I started Sweet Caroline's because it makes me happy, teaches me new things every day, and allows me to meet new people from all cultures and walks of life.
Because I am a home baker, I do take limited orders. I work full-time and bake in my spare time because it is my passion! I devote the extra time, effort, and energy into baking because I want to serve the public with sweets that will bring clients as much joy as I have received by baking it.
