How long have you been interested in magic?

I started getting into magic when I was in the 5th grade. It quickly became my passion in life but I lost interest about a year later and started playing soccer competitively. This led me to be recruited to play at a University in Chicago but I quit playing after my Freshman year because of a physical issue. After I stopped playing soccer, I started to get back into magic again. My passion for it was eventually reignited and I have been doing it professionally for just over a year. My first gig was in the summer of 2018.

Take us through your show – what can we expect?

You can expect me going around the event space performing for groups of people rather than a formal stage performance. My performances will consist of close up magic and is entirely made up of intimate spectator interaction with my specialties being that of card magic and mentalism (although there are some things I do that don't fit into either category). My camera man, who is also my manager, would also be there with me filming as I go from group to group.

What do you love most about your job?

One of the things I love most about performing is the positive impact magic has on people. Seeing people smile and laugh makes the endless hours of practice very rewarding. I also love how my magic tends to unite everybody. I really value the diverse groups of people that are brought together as a result of my magic performances. Magic is for everybody regardless of race, religion, gender, financial status, sexual orientation, etc. There is no divide. I think that fact is beautiful. So much so, that I actually started a photo series across my social media showcasing just that. "Magic Unites Everybody" is a picture posted every week of me and audiences I have performed for. Check out my website and the pictures I have on my Bark profile to see what I am talking about.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I knew early on that I didn't want to work for anybody so starting my own business was really the only option I had. But when I knew I wanted to pursue magic professionally, that coincided with my goals of being my own boss perfectly.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I can provide my services online/remotely. I started a virtual show in May of 2020 and am extremely proud of it. It aims to provide the same sort of intimacy as a in person performance would. There are videos I have on my Bark profile showing a lot of footage of them.
