I have recently visited Golds Gym of gayton crossing. This was one of the most pleasurable gym experiences I have had. Nikki was always there to greet you with a warm smile and energetic attitude! The gym was clean and staff very friendly! I would highly recommend this gym if you live here or are traveling to the area. Joined Gold's in August of 2010 in order to have a place to run during my Half Marathon training, out of our horrible Richmond humidity. I was a bit nervous at first, being that Gold's had that sort of "beefcake" reputation in the past. I was totally wrong about the whole "beefcake" thing! This gym is awesome. It caters to all shapes and sizes. I love to see people who are beginners as well as the seasoned athletes working out side by side. There are plenty of cardio machines to go around even at the busy times. Many rows of free weights and weight machines. I really love the TVs built into some of the cardio equipment since it is a great distraction for pounding out treadmill miles. I recently started taking Phil's Spin class on Monday evenings. Never have I felt so included in a group so quickly, plus challenged and energized. This Spin class is absolutely amazing. So I thank The Arboretum Gold's not only for great well-kept equipment, but for getting me into Spinning as well!

Raintree has the best indoor light in Richmond. 2018 they put all LED lights in and the place is beautiful. The remodeling of the looker rooms are great. Their jr program is second to none. The coaches use the Red, Orange, Green, and Yellow ball to progress the jr players to their highest potential. Everyone should check out this facility that is tucked away in a neighborhood.

I love this class. It is all done standing or seated, and as I have trouble getting up and down on the ground this works perfectly for me. I can really feel the work on my muscles too. In fact, my bad shoulder has really improved from this. I have never liked aerobics, so I like the way this class physically tires me, but it is not aerobics.
Should I work out every day of the week?
It depends on your end goal. If you’re training for a marathon, you might work out nearly every day of the week. If you’re a low-level beginner, a minimum of three times a week is enough to make a noticeable impact. No matter what you’re working out for, everyone needs rest and recovery days. Without them, your muscles won’t be able to recuperate and grow strong, so remember to factor in some down-time, too!
