This is a Crossfit affiliate located in the big A-frame building on 73rd Street, right off of I-235. At CrossFit West Des Moines we have several CrossFit Level 1 & Level 2 Trainers as coaches within the gym that specialize in Endurance Training, Weight Lifting, Powerlifting, Gymnastics and Mobility. The idea is to help suite your needs on a broad fitness level while keeping you on track with accountability and results. With help in several realms of fitness and health, I the owner, Kris Gregory, will do everything I can to get you on track to your goals. I believe that everyone should use functional movement to help with daily living, to build confidence, and to keep up with everything life throws at you. I get to know our members as athletes, and also as friends. I have a passionate staff of seasoned coaches that are ready to help take your next step in functional fitness... whether you have no fitness history, or you have been an athlete your whole life, we welcome you!

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

I'll convince you that it's worth it. Nobody has the "perfect" solution that makes a lifestyle change EASY. It'll be hard, but what you'll find out is that it's extremely rewarding. I'll throw multiple training styles at you to produce results... from CrossFit, to HIIT (high intensity interval training), to Powerlifting and Bodybuilding methods, and several Mobility sessions to increase your full ROM (range of motion).

Paired with a fine tuning of your diet as we make small progressions on our way into a healthier lifestyle. This is equally as hard as the training so the accountability doesn't stop at the fitness portion.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

Expected answer: Stay active, eat healthy, sleep well.

My answer: Consistency. I'll provide the blueprint, but if you allow your subconscious mind to fool you into creating excuses time and time again... you'll fail. It takes the power to not only create a plan, but to follow through with it.

The sky is the limit, but you have to want it bad enough. I'm going to remind you that there are going to be days where life gets in the way, or you just aren't motivated to do it - and then I'll show you why it's so important to show up.

What do you love most about your job?

Helping people realize that there is so much potential that has to be discovered through hard work. Seeing the look on their faces when they conquer a mountain; or better put, a goal that once seemed so far out of their reach that they truly believed they would never reach it. I want to promote and create habits of being healthy and active.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I've been in Sport and Fitness my entire life. When I jumped way out of my comfort zone to become a CrossFit Trainer, I quickly realized that the connection I was able to have with my Athletes was helping them become more fit, more inspired, and just happier. So, I did what any crazy man would do and forfeited the benefits of a corporate company and began developing my coaching style and knowledge base in the practice of a CrossFit Affiliate. Soon after that I became the owner of that same affiliate and have kept the pattern alive. Study, practice, repeat. The more I know and am able to communicate that information to my athletes, the happier and more fit they become.

Why should our clients choose you?

This is all I do. This is all I think about. With my background as a dedicated and active athlete my entire life... I know what the emotional highs and lows are that come with training. I picked up bodybuilding when I was 21 and went from weighing 170# and benching 150#, to 240# and benching 415#. As "meathead" as that sounds... that takes a lot of trial and error with training and dieting to do it. After finding CrossFit in 2015, I realized there's a lot more to fitness than lifting weights so I've increased my cardio, engine, mobility, core strength, and... even my overall pound for pound weightlifting strength!

I'll be able to provide technique, diet, and effective training to produce some unreal results.
