How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

I work with each client's specific needs, goals and body types to guide them to their ideal fitness plan. I promote consistency and independence so that even long after one trains with me, they have the tools and knowledge they need to maintain hard earned results.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

Consistency is the key to success, one cannot reach their goals if they stop showing up. Beyond that, finding a workout strategy that is pleasurable and realistic (especially when just starting out) so that the gym isn't such a chore and bore.

Starting out can involve discomfort and be very challenging. Once that initial hump is cleared, the gym becomes more and more enjoyable especially when it shows in the mirror.

What do you love most about your job?

I love seeing the positive outcome of my client's discipline and hard work paying off. From higher energy levels to higher confidence to just looking better, my job is extremely rewarding.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Having worked in a gym setting for many years, I witnessed the behind-the-scenes aspect of personal training. I saw two main issues that owning my own business solved completely. First, because of the business model in the gym setting, clients paid too much and trainers saw too little of it. By changing the basic business model, I am able to save my clients money while making more myself (win-win). More importantly, I can train fewer clients, giving my energy more fully to each one.

The other major problem I saw was in employee burnout. Because gym trainers are paid a much smaller percentage of what the client pays the gym, the trainer must spread themselves much thinner to make up the difference. I did this for some years before realizing my clients were no longer getting my best.

By cutting out the fat in terms of unnecessary expenses, I am better able to serve my clients and focus on each and every one of their individual needs.

Why should our clients choose you?

I differ from most personal trainers who follow a more textbook style of personal training. I combine the textbook with my years in sports, my degree and my own personal experience in the gym. This translates into much more flexibility in designing a game plan with my clients. For instance, I might be able to come up with a perfect plan for someone to hit their goals. If they hate it, however, they might stop coming in and thus never reach that goal. Flexibility means that I find what works best for one's own set of individualized circumstances. I do not want my clients to hate they gym or hate coming to workout with me. Working out already requires commitment, dedication and hard work. I aim to make that process as enjoyable as possible.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I aim for my clients to be as comfortable as possible in terms of health and safety. I myself am a very sanitary person who washes my hands often and stays generally as clean as possible. I am very expressive and honest so if my clients or I become sick, I do not "power through" as I believe this is irresponsible.

I wipe down equipment and promote cleanliness wherever possible.
