What do you love most about your job?

I love solving puzzles for people! Insurance can be a confusing subject. What a majority of people know about insurance is usually boiled down to clicking a couple of buttons to select their insurance coverage through their employer. But insurance goes so much deeper than that and, even with employer benefits, people begin to realize what they chose doesn't fully meet their needs.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was working in the corporate world, getting all of my insurance through my job. When I left that realm, we looking at switching our medical insurance to my wife's insurance through the school she was working at. When we realized it would cost over $1200/mo to insure the whole family through her job, I started looking for solutions that would work better for our needs (including our budget). When I found solutions for my family, I realized this was valuable knowledge that needed to be shared. So I started my business helping people find solutions to meet their unique and specific needs. Since then I have broadened the aspects of protection that I help people with, all the way down to budget planning because, let's face it, if we can budget well, then the protection of ourselves and our family begins to suffer.

Why should our clients choose you?

I work very closely with my clients to the point that I call many of them friends. I am more than just the guy that writes your insurance policy. I am your partner to help you protect yourself and your family. I am on call for all of my clients if they ever have any needs and always happy to grab a cup of coffee to shoot the breeze if I'm in your area or you are in mine.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, I have run most of my business remotely from the beginning. I am currently licensed to provide services in 18 different states and constantly adding more as I get more clients needing my help in other states. I traditionally use Zoom, but also use screen sharing technology to review options with clients.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I have always offered remote/virtual services even before Covid. Anyone who prefers to meet virtually is welcome to take advantage of my services that way. If I am ever ill and unable to make a meeting in person, I usually give my clients the option to meet virtually instead of in person if the matter is urgent, or reschedule for a later date when I am not contagious if it isn't so urgent.
