While we absolutely DO train our own team members, we look for a strong background in general canine knowledge and hands-on experience such as training (of course), grooming, working as a veterinary technician, dog walkers, boarding kennel technicians, rescuers, shelter workers, etc. Dog Training isn’t rocket science, but it DOES take an extremely dedicated person to be successful and be willing to live as a perpetual student to continue growing their skills – and we know through first hand experience that individuals that work in those fields have proven themselves in the line of fire time and time again that they have what it takes to put your dog first. HOW DO YOU BECOME AN OWNER? With a family of Trainers in regions that include West Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, and North Carolina; we KNOW the Dog Training industry well – as well as just how under-regulated it really is. So, while there are things we can’t change about the industry, we CAN and DO ensure that we hold only the HIGHEST bar possible by not allowing outside individuals to simply “buy” a location and call themselves an Owner. Instead, we require that all TCK9 Owners be a part of our local Trainer Team for a minimum of 3 years, with at least 1 year of location Management Experience, prior to discussing location licensing or the possibility of owning their own location. Once that time comes though and we know the Trainer has what it takes to operate their own TCK9 location, we do ALL we can to ensure their success by staying hands on and being there as a source of advice, job materials, sales assistance, and more!
