My style consists mostly of Hip Hop and R&B (old school and new school), but also includes some Pop, EDM, and Reggae/Dancehall. When I mix, I like to blend styles and times and provide a little something for everyone. I may play some newer urban hits along with some older R&B, and even sprinkle in some pop, depending on the crowd.
I love to make memories with people. I’ve been a fan of music since I was a child, and my love for it has grown with me. There’s nothing like being in a room full of people enjoying themselves, singing to their favorite songs together. The unity that music creates is incomparable. There have been many studies that show that music is connected to memory, which means that when you hear a song, it can bring back lost memories of emotions and experiences in our lives. It’s this same reason why people like to pick soundtracks for special events in their life. They want to make moments last, and my job is to make that just a little bit easier.
I’ve never been fond of the idea of working a job simply for the money. I’ve seen so many people’s lives been ruled by money, and it’s sad. I remember when I was about 16, my mother told me to “never let money rule me... whatever I do, do it because I love it.” That has stuck with me to this day.
I’m hard-working and I love what I do. Whenever you love what you do, you put your all into it. For that reason, I work to make every experience great.
