I grew up in a dysfunctional family, with a narcissistic father, a terminally ill mother, and a whole lot of compounded traumas that accumulated in life from the age of 5. I dealt with verbal abuse, bullying, 4 learning disabilities, divorce, being a primary caregiver for my mom who had multiple myeloma my entire life, deaths, disordered eating, two work burnouts, and so many other speed bumps.
I believe that in life we are not defined by the bad things that happen to us. I also believe that we do not need to face and do the hard things alone. I believe that we only got one shot at this game called life and it is our responsibility to play the cards we are dealt no matter if we like them or not.
