Zoom Room Dog Training

I brought my 100 pounder she-malamute there with a few goals in mind but mainly that (1) that she listens better to her dog walker  (2)  that we learn together some things on the "brainy" side. I totally feel that we are nicely progressing toward meeting these goalsWe took a couple-private classes, are now taking entry level obedience classes  and just took our first ever entry level agility. I have very happy with all instructors that we had.  Each instructor has different style  of teaching but all have been very helpful, friendly and encouraging. Sarah, Chelsea , Krista. Thank you! . In each class, we are learning  and progressing   ... and having fun. What else can we ask My dog is quite large relatively speaking and not common breed around here ...She is malamute style vocal ( ooooo and rrrrrrr )  at times and gets often more adverse reaction than she deserves .  So i really appreciate that ZoomRoom instructors gave her a fair shot at learning  along side the other regular size  dogs. We walked in one day a few weeks ago only expecting to buy a toy and walk out...and the staff was so friendly we decided to sign up our pup for an evaluation. Today we had our evaluation with Mimi and it was so much fun! And in a short 30 minutes we learned so much and are now super excited to go back for obedience class and then possibly try some agility or trick classes. What an amazing experience! Highly recommend this place for your puppies and dogs.My Shepard/Pit Bull mix puppy have been in training for for the last 7 weeks, starting at 10 weeks old and she's thriving and learning so much.  I appreciate how the classes are set up, beginning with puppy socialization, puppy obedience class, and she just graduated from obedience 2, YAY! It's been so effective and great for our puppy we are going to continued to obedience 3.  We absolutely love the trainers, they genuinely love the dogs and are very clear and thorough about explaining each command.  I've learned so much and feel like I will be a better mommy to my puppy.  I also love that it's focused on positive reinforcement training. Came here last night for a dog birthday party that I was throwing for my pup that is turning 1! It was great to be able to find a venue like Zoom Room that specifically throws parties for dog as one of its services. To break down my overall experience here:Pros:* You get a giant indoor play park where dogs can run free and have fun* Your booking comes with a mini agility lesson where the staff will bring out different obstacles courses like jumps, rings, and tunnels so that you can coax your dog into doing these challenges for treats. * Your booking comes with doggie donuts for all the four legged guests. The donuts are a mix of peanut butter and carob flavor, topped with blueberries and coconut shavings. These looked so good that most of our human guests were tempted to have one! * They have a built in disco ball and music that you can turn on to make it a real party-party. * If you want to go all out, you can even order birthday hats or balloons to make it truly festive. * For all the human guests, you can stand outside the ring and enjoy watching the dogs get silly with one another. Cons:* They don't have an intermediate area where you bring dogs into the ring. Which means that as soon as you open a gate to let a new dog in, you have 3 dogs that run out and it's like herding cats to get all of them back in. * There's no water that is offered to either human or dog guests. We had brought our own water for people but I was surprised to see they didn't have water dishes inside the ring for the dogs to take a break and rehydrate. * I thought that the agility lesson was going to be more of a "lesson" and not just a DIY exercise.Overall, this was a great experience for both myself and my pooch. The cost for our entire event (1 hour total) was a flat $200 which I thought was a pretty good deal considering how much fun everyone had. More...

I love zoom room! The trainers are amazing and everyone there is so nice! They always understand what's going on and how to help, and they have amazing deals for everything they sell. My dog is so much more confident in himself and I am so much more comfortable having peoe over and taking him places. I wish I could give them 6 or more stars.  The entire team is great. When Heather noticed in my evaluation that Smokie had a problem with marking.  she introduced me to male doggie diapers.  They are a god send in dealing with the marking.  Vy gave me some very practical and helpful advice to help with the  wetting in the dogs recovery suits after their surgery.  I am so glad they added the shy dog class and it's so small. With just the 2 of us pet parents and dogs, it's like a semi private class.  Vy customizes the curriculum to what the dog needs. Yesterday within 10 minutes she got my Smokie to stop parking at the other dog in class and  actually move toward the dog to "investigate".  All without any barking. They always answer my 2000 crazy questions. They treat us like family. And they celebrate with me when my Smokie or my Chewie make another milestone in training. You must try agility clases if you haven't, so great for puppies and adult dogs.  And they will sleep so much better that night. More...

I have taken my two-year-old golden doodle to several different training situations. Including having a private trainer for a couple sessions. I think the zoom Room is by far the best match for our needs. I don't need my dog to be military sharp but I need him to basically listen and Cheryl seems to understand that. The schedules flexible and the people are really nice. We've taken 7 or 8 different sessions now of different topics and there's never more than 4or 5 dogs there. More...

We recently moved away, and one of the things we'll miss the most is Chelsea and Zoom Room. We adopted our dog, Monty, last January, and we quickly figured out we needed help. While he's a very smart boy, he's also stubborn and leash aggressive. We started with private lessons with Chelsea and we all learned so much. Eventually we graduated to group classes...kind of... And we wouldn't have gotten that far without her support. Even post move, as we've been dealing with some kind of intense anxiety from him due to all the changes, she's provided us with encouragement and support. We love coming to group classes at the zoom room with our mini Poodle. she started at 4 months in puppy class and then went on to basic manners. She took awhile to agree that she should be well behaved, but we have finally gotten there, hurray, and she has graduated at one year old.She is a high energy dog so we have had our hands full getting her trained but the staff here are so patient and positive that they helped immensely.  The private lessons helped us get ahead of challenges as she entered the teen age years.Now we are in agility class and having a ball! I have been bringing my little rescue dog to Zoom Room for over two years. We started in puppy preschool and then moved onto puppy agility. We are now in Agility 4 and look forward to our class every week. We feel that we are part of a community and it's been a great way for us to bond and for my dog to release a bit of her endless energy. The owner Diego is very helpful and the trainers are all fantastic. I highly recommend training at Zoom Room, both if you are interested in Agility, but also for Obedience and other classes that they offer (we've also learned some great party tricks). More...

My seven-month-old cavapoo, Paddington, just took his fifth puppy agility class here, and we have had such a blast over the last few weeks exploring the equipment and socializing with our friends from class. The facility, trainers, and class options are all great. I also like that you can buy high quality treats, toys, and equipment in the store.The only drawbacks to this Zoom Room location are that 1) it's 20 minutes from my house, and 2) the classes do book up fast, so you have to plan your class schedule weeks in advance, which is challenging for my travel schedule, but we've made it work.All in all, we've thoroughly enjoyed our time with the Zoom Room and definitely recommend it. Coming from another puppy school where I had a HORRIBLE experience, ZoomRoom has exceeded all my expectations. THE CLASSThe classes have 6 puppies max and are run by a primary trainer and an assistant trainer. Both are very attentive and provide valuable information as they observe and correct how your dog behaves. They are methodical in the way they teach and they go around the room one by one to make sure that you and your puppy are doing okay or provide any guidance if necessary. If you have a highly vocal, energetic dog like myself, the trainers utilize methods in order to help your pup settle that way you can still maintain focus while listening to the lesson. They also print out homework sheets at the end of class for you to take home and continue working on more skills. THE FACILITYModern and super clean. Everyone on staff that I've met so far are really friendly and very knowledgeable. I also love the fact that they have a store so you can easily get the supplies you need right there. They also throw events and photo opps and other fun stuff to help build their ZoomRoom community! The ease of use of their scheduling system is also a huge perk, I love the fact that you can pick and choose when to come in and you don't necessarily have to come every week if you don't want to.ADVICEThe only bit of feedback I have is in addition to the homework, I would like a sheet containing a summary of today's lesson so I can take that home and review and further reinforce the lesson.OVERALLI highly recommend ZoomRoom and I am thoroughly enjoying my experience there! We love the Zoom Room! The puppy preschool classes have been wonderful for our new puppy. The classes allow puppies of similar ages, who are not yet completely vaccinated, to play together in a safe environment. It has been great for our Great Dane puppy to become socialized with other dogs and people and to get some energy out! We have also started learning a few obedience commands. Once our dog is fully vaccinated at 16 weeks we plan to start the obedience classes. The staff is wonderful and clearly love animals. i have a really stubborn and strong-willed boston terrier. it has been nearly impossible to get him to focus when on a leash, or in any situation where there is anything around him that breathes or moves. a friend recommended zoom room, so i decided to try it out. we did an evaluation with nikki, and my little dude was then enrolled in a beginner obedience class. unfortunately, he still has a really 'ruff' time being around other dogs on a leash without being a total buttface. therefore, nikki suggested private training. while my dude is not perfect, i have seen many improvements using the methods she taught me. additionally, we have begun doing private agility training, and i am very excited about what this is going to do for us as a bonding experience. nikki is so great with link, and with applying methods she's found successful with foster and rescue dogs of her own - i highly recommend using her and the zoom room team. i normally buy a 4 class package at a time to keep myself accountable to work with link. plenty of parking is available, and lots of grass for doing business before class. they also have any toy or treat you can think of available for sale in their store. I started taking Gilligan, my newly adopted 1 year old boxer, to Obedience with Chandra.  She was very helpful and informative! After graduating level 1 and moving on to level 2, I wanted to try Agility 1.  We began Agility 1 with Jaimi, who is also wonderful!  Gilligan absolutely LOVES the agility class!  It's perfect for his energy level and the fact that he has 3 legs, does not slow him down! This ain't my first rodeo...I have two 9 1/2 year old Golden Retrievers who are very well-trained....if I do say so myself!  But I had forgotten how much work new puppies are, and when we welcomed a new pup into our family, I found myself needing help.  Took Tater Tot to the Zoom Room and we both fell in love...all of the trainers we've worked with are wonderful, and only positive reinforcement is used.  Of course, a lot of dog training is actually training the human, so you can expect to do your share of the work.  We've only done puppy classes there, but look forward to continuing our training beyond the puppy months.  Great place for dogs AND owners! A very clean, well stocked, and organized training school.  A variety of classes are offered at different times, making scheduling easy.  Cheryl and her staff are very knowledgeable, patient, and clearly skilled with dogs and their people.  The only 'issue' I have, and maybe there's no way around it, is that the training is very treat-based.  My canine companion has dietary issues -- strictly nothing except her very bland HP -- so all most all treats cannot be used with her.  I just picked up some RX ones from the vet.  We'll see. I have a bullmastiff puppy. I was so nervous going there because she's so big and having behavioral issues. These amazing ladies made me instantly feel comfortable and were so good with my pup. I mean she's 100 lbs, and has jumping issues, the trainer didn't bat an eye. She helped me with our issues and showed me to help keep the training going. Love this place!! More...

Zoom Room is the only dog training facility I'd ever use....rather, the only place my labradoodle, Chewbaca, will let us take him.  He loves going to class and the manners he's learned have made him an even more amazing dog and a super member of our family.The Zoom Room trainers know what they're doing and their method of training is top notch.  I don't know who's learned more - us or our dog.  If you're looking for dog obedience training, agility classes, or other dog skills, don't go to those 'big box stores' - use a professional.  Use Zoom Room.  Our whole family recommends them. I have a 6 month old Australian Shepherd that I haven't taken to any formal training yet but I've been interested in getting him into agility classes. He has to pass Obedience 1 first which is fine with me because he's very excitable and there are behaviors we definitely need to work on.The person who helped me sign up for classes over the phone was very accommodating because he allowed us to sign up for the classes without an evaluation. Normally they do an evaluation to see if it's appropriate for your dog to be placed in group classes but he saw that there were no evaluation appointments available for a whole month and wanted to get us in because my pup is still young. He did say that we may be asked to leave a group class though if my pup is too disruptive, which I understand!We went for our first class today and I think my pup ended up doing decently well. He did get too excited at times as expected but I was able to redirect him back to the training and Mike our trainer had some really good advice for us. I really appreciated that Mike took extra time after the class to answer my questions and show us some training techniques.The training techniques were very useful and I look forward to seeing my pup improve over time! We've been taking our Daisy to Zoom Room since she was 5 months old. Zoom Room has always provided a positive learning environment. We've taken classes with Chandra, Patrick and Jaimi, and they are all fantastic! In addition to the obedience classes, I highly recommended taking the agility classes too. In Daisy's first agility class, she was afraid of a lot of the equipment, but after 3 or so classes, she was able to jump through tires, run through the tunnel, and walk up and down the A frame and dog walk. My dog Mariner and I have coming here for about 2 months and I have to say it was the best decision I've made! My dog is deaf and the trainers always helped me on how to work and communicate with him. The classes also strengthened the bond between Mariner and I. The Zoom Room, especially our trainer Chandra, was critical for the rehabilitation of our Korean rescue dog. The training provided by this specific establishment has established the affectionate and inquisitive dog we know today. It's impossible to comprehend the horrors our puppy may have endured within the Korean meat trade, but the behavioral adjustment is noticed by neighbors and owners familiar with his progress. Today, the fearful yelps of a traumatized animal have been replaced with the barks of an overjoyed puppy. The challenge of overcoming this significant mental and physical trauma was patiently developed by Chandra personally. Today, our puppy bravely accompanies us on hikes, errands, and even day trips to the beach. The compliments we receive on our puppy are always accredited to the Zoom Room.
