Just to calibrate, I have a rule of writing reviews only when I find an establishment to be out of the ordinary.  It is highly unusual for me to be blown-away impressed by great service.  I can proudly say, however, that Yohei and the staff at Yuka Style are - without a doubt - the best reason I can think of to enforce that rule and put pen to paper, writing my first review in over a year.As an asian male, I've struggled to find a good hair stylist for years, and upon moving to LA, I was both excited and apprehensive.  I tried a few very disappointing salons and then I found Yohei at Yuka Style and I haven't gone anywhere else since then!!!First of all, Yohei is perfect!!!  His ability to deftly navigate the contours of my extremely thick, dense and straight hair results in him producing a coiffure that is simultaneously familiar and exciting, trendy and timeless, sexy and sophisticated.  And on top of this, I am never ever bored.  We have discussed all matter of topics (which don't need to be shared in this forum).  But needless to say, he is not just one of my favorite hairstylists, he is one of my absolute favorite humans! first off I called last minute on pride weekend... and Yohei agreed he would stay late for me and do my color, cut, and re-touch on my ends! what an angel.  I'm very happy and satisfied and would gladly love to come back for his service he is so funny and extremely caring for what you want and ask for. This is the first hair salon I have been to in LA since I have moved here and when it comes to finding a new hair salon/stylist, especially in a big city, it can be so overwhelming! What an amazing experience at Yuka Style with Akane! I am always weary of going to a salon without referrals from people I know so this was my first time and I was not disappointed! Akane did such a wonderful job with my cut, I am living for it! I'm in absolute love with my hair right now and I'm definitely going back to see their colorist Naki! I have thick curly hair and she got my hair exactly the way I wanted, BLONDE and beautiful! Naki was everything I ever want in a colorist, I don't trust anyone with my curls but I trust her 100%. I have an insane amount of hair and she freehanded and foiled everything so quick. I showed her a picture of shakiras hair and she colored it just like it! Also my hair is not fried or damaged, it's still curly healthy and now even more beautiful with the color she gave me. I went out afterwards and so many people complemented me on my hair. I highly recommend her she's so cool and professional and I had such a blast while in her chair, the experience was awesome. Curtis is the most amazing hairstylist you can ask for. He has been doing my hair for 3 years and I wouldn't let anyone else come close to my hair with a pair of scissors. He takes his time, and knows how to give you exactly what you ask for. He also knows what products will work best for your hair and the style you are trying to get. Takuji is the best! He really listened to what I wanted and gave me a great haircut, deep condition and scalp massage.  His work is precise and excellent! A truly professional salon in a great neighborhood.A visit today to Akane at Yuka Style was GREAT!! Clifford Doyle is my stylist at Yuka and he is awesome!  He's a very talented colorist and has an eye for a sharp cut and style. He takes his time to understand your needs and desires for your hair and then he masterfully takes your ideas further. Love him and his dope technique. Here's a shout out to Lisa, who fixed a D- haircut! Yuki had cut my hair for years, but went back to Tel Aviv, so I hadn't cut my hair in over a year. I finally broke down and on a lark, went to my local beauty salon and had their stand-in cut my hair. It was a disaster, even after I went back and asked him to fix it. (He had cut the second layer almost straight across, with little to no blending. Who does that?) I had little faith in going to someone new, but couldn't live with the cut another day. Had an incredible experience with the very talented Dina for a color/blow out! Taking my hair from black, back to brown, isn't an easy job and Dina was amazing with it! She was efficient, fun and also talked me through what we could do for future appointments to assure my hairs health and evolving look. The salon staff is super friendly and always accommodating! I felt totally comfortable and taken care of with anything (from beverages to them even feeding my meter ). It was a really fun atmosphere and great energy with everyone there. I scheduled an appointment here on a Friday afternoon and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The receptionist was wonderful - friendly, kind, genuine, and made me feel so welcome. I saw Yohei for a hair cut and style and he was absolutely fabulous. Very quick, efficient, and professional; he did exactly what I asked for and talked through the pros and cons of a big hairstyle change for me instead of just going with my half hearted suggestion. Can't get over what of a gem of studio this is! They use Oribe to wash your hair! No other studio does that. Not only that, very welcoming and comforting. I honestly felt like a million bucks after my blowout. The girls are the Sweetest and they left my hair super super shiny. Unbelievably good. Client of 2 years, Dina is absolutely amazing, I won't go anywhere else! The entire staff is always pleasant and willing to go above and beyond for clients. As cliché as this sounds, I wish there was some way to provide this review with more than five stars. Every time I set foot in Yuka Style, I have a tremendously positive experience. Selena greets me from the front desk with nothing but warmth and radiating kindness; she sets my appointments to fit my schedule, she always offers me coffee, and inquires about my daily life from previous conversations. Rose is my hair stylist, and I have never been happier with my hair care needs. I have had blonde hair for about four years now, and it's not an exaggeration for me to say that no one has paid such keen attention to my hair like Rose does. She always explains what she's doing with my hair in order to calm my nerves; in addition, she's careful when it comes to the previous damage from my former experiences with other hair stylists. Specifically, she's in the process of restoring my hair step by step; she recommended waiting before dying my hair again (a couple of months or so), and that proves to me that she isn't in for the money. Finally, paying 100 dollars a month for unlimited blow dry and amazing deep conditioning sells itself. More...

If you are looking for salon you can trust, YUKA STYLE is the place to go and I highly recommend hair stylist, TAKUJI! Everyone here are friendly and happy.  I had a chance to meet the owner and she was amazingly friendly as well. Parking is easy. Receptionist Rieko is good in accommodating new appointments. During consultation with Takuji, he looked into my hair, carefully listening to how I wanted my hair to be. He gave me suggestions while respecting what I wanted. I have very thick, fuzzy, and curly hair. NO-ONE was able to fix it well until I had Takuji who turned my hair into miracle shiny look! I've tried Brazilian blowout and super straighter over years. Both were good, except the process is very long like 4hrs and had chemical smell which I didn't like. Takuji is trend-savvy. He knew what's new in the market for these types of products that he suggested I try KERASILK. I AM LOVING IT!! Less than 2hrs process with no smell. My hair is sikly smooth.
