Luis DeLeon is an amazing colorist, stylist, and makeup artist. He has been cutting and coloring my hair for the last five years. Luis always knows exactly what to do to make me look and feel beautiful. The process all begins with a luxurious shampoo and condition that includes a decadent scalp massage. Luis is an expert who can give style and color recommendations. If I know what I'm looking for and describe it, he makes it happen. When I have no idea what I want, I've trusted him to give me a fresh look. He consistently exceeds my expectations for quality care. I was in Chicago for a wedding and want a simple updo for the affair. The hotel we were staying at recommended XEX Hair Gallery but my stylist was the luck of the draw---what luck I had! The best hair salon I have ever been to in my life, and I have been to a lot. I am constantly doing new things to my hair and making big mistakes (color and extension disasters, etc ). They always come to the rescue. They have literally fixed every single hair disaster I have ever had. Their staff is amazing and Victoria is the best. Found this place through Groupon as I was a little scared to fully commit to a salon, spend a good sum of money and possibly be disappointed. All I can say is XEX diminished all my fears. The one thing I had never done to my hair was get highlights and I was not disappointed at all. My stylist was Elizabeth and with it being her first week there did an amazing job bringing life to my hair and revived my love for it. It speaks to the high caliber of work every client speaks so highly of. From the time I arrived to the time I left, the staff was super friendly and highly attentive. One of the receptionists made it a point to address me by name and compliment the new look. :) The fact that they also donate to Feeding America just won me over. I decided to try XEX in 2006 after finding a coupon for a free haircut at my office. Eight years later, I am still a client of XEX. David is my stylist and Barbara is my colorist (she also gives best shampoo in town). What David can do with a pair of scissors is truly artful and Barbara is excellent at blending my color to cover my gray, while still maintaining the natural dimension of my color. Thanks to both of them, there have been multiple times that people have literally stopped me on the street to compliment my hair. Customer service is unparalleled and they truly care about how I look when I walk out of the salon. At my last appointment, I wasn't able to schedule a color and a cut so I just scheduled a haircut. I was David's last appointment of the day, so he offered to stay after closing and color my hair for just the price of the product. More...
