As of lately I've found myself on this Health kick where I'm doing things to be a better me, and with that I've been visiting a lot of food markets that offer organics and a better selection of fresh foods; which brings me to my Whole Foods Market visit...My how it has changed; the Whole Foods Market I remember used to have a better selection of products and better prices, but since they've merged with Amazon prime it seems that things have changed.  Their selection of vitamin extracts and liquid vitamins is slim to none so if that's what you're looking for you have to order online or go to another health food store such as Earth fare. Don't get me wrong there are still many great attributes to this store, like the fresh baked mouth watering pastries, fresh butchers meats and fish, the coffee/beer/gelato cafe, the free water fill station and the chair massages. The only real downside was the bathrooms were unkept. I was in town without a car for a week for an event at the Convention Center. The event was related to a high level sport competition, so it was nice to have easy ready access to healthy food and was more affordable than the convention center food. Getting there currently is a hassle though because the sidewalks are blocked.  But definitely worth the up and down to get there. Also it is located right off of the Stonewall station! More...

A Whole Foods Market in Concord. HOLY VERANDA!Smaller location compare to the two in Walnut Creek. It does have a Next Level Burger inside compare to Allegro Coffee. Don't let the 365 confuse you. It is Whole Foods no matter what! 365 is their brand name for their products. Subscribe to Amazon Prime. You get discount on sale items.I wish this location invested in having Amazon Prime Now shoppers inside. This location can get a lot of business for people ordering their grocery online. Plenty of hot food being served. This would be the place to have lunch at.I have gotten good service at this location. I have not experience anything bad shopping here.I would definitely come back here to do my grocery shopping. More...

I quit Wholefoods Market because I was lied on by a manager. Because of the lie i lost a day or 2 of work. When the lie came to light no further action was taken with the manager, I just was able to return to work. To me it’s a big deal to treat all employees equally no matter the job title. If someone in a higher level is able to lie on lower level employees to where that persons job is at risk, I don’t want to be apart of that team. More...

The working environment was lovely and everyone there had your back.

The way that everyone makes you feel right at home and willing to help in anyway that they can is what made the job not feel so much as a job but as if it was just something to do after school, my favorite job to have had.

Retail is a fast paced, stressful environment. At Whole Foods Market, you assist many guests from all walks of life with very specific needs/dietary concern. You gain knowledge of current diet and health trends, and also educate yourself on food quality.

One of Whole Foods core values is to Promote Team Member Happiness, and they do just that. There are plenty of opportunities for advancement, and Team Leaders encourage their team members to grow and learn.

It is retail, so it can be challenging, hard work at times. But it's your fellow team members and your team leaders that make it a great place to work.

They have lost some of the greatest employees bc of the point system. We are talking letters of recognition, best at what they do, phone compliments weekly, follow code, deliver satisfaction. But they only allow 6pts. If you are late, need to leave early, only 2 drs notes allowed. I was caring for my dad w/cancer and a single mom. Nix was aces. But, they lost me. Their loss. Trust me. This is my favorite Whole Check in the North East.  Well stocked shelves.  Very clean, and a nice group of food geek hipsters that are completely willing to assist.  It's alway a pleasure to shop here.   The one draw back is the pizza guy doesn't wear gloves, so I'd recommend you do eat that strange looking stuff (if you're from the area you that's not real pizza anyway). Maybe not completely Whole Paycheck anymore, but you can definitely do some serious damage here. Easy to do a full shop for the week though with a big section of produce, lots of dry/canned goods and the meat/seafood counters are insane. I worked for WFM when they were not owned by Amazon so I am not sure how the management is now but it was terrible when I worked there. The managers which are the Associate Store Leader and the Store Leader were pressed over the limit to make sales quota which meant that they would almost harass all departments to make sales quota. However, it was a fun job with a super relaxed atmosphere. They offer leadership courses and certifications and also a huge room for growth within the company. By the second year I was there, I was a buyer and also a travelling representative who opened up several stores all around Texas. I would go back to this job, it was that much fun. The benefits and pay were really good as well. More...
