Weight management has been a challenge for me my entire life. It’s always been a struggle to get the scale to move more than a couple pounds. And, as a female now in her forties who’s experienced a lot in life (pregnancy, cancer, and aging/metabolism/stress changes), it’s become even harder. Despite always being an active person (Pilates 4x a week and walking regularly) and maintaining a healthy diet, I just never got the results I wanted. I was pretty skeptical that at this point in my life I would be able to change anything about my body for the better. Since I’ve been working with Dan, however, I have been shocked at the results. His approach to nutrition has made all the difference, without being restrictive or difficult. What I thought I was doing right as far as eating for my goals…was way off. He simplified it, and the change was noticeable within weeks. The scale is finally moving in the right direction! Adding weight training to my existing fitness routine has also made a major impact. I’m building lean muscle and toning in places I never thought was possible. Not only can I see the difference, other people have noticed, too, and have asked me what I’ve been doing. This is my first time using a PT, and I am changed for life. Dan is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to fitness, and is always learning. He is very detailed and will customize your plan, based on your goals and fitness levels. He is professional, reliable, and extremely personable. Never once have I felt intimidated. He truly wants to see his clients succeed. He has personal experience with rebuilding after major health challenges, which is not something you find too often. Personal Trainers

I've always been athletic and I did competitive swim and wrestling up until senior year of highschool. After that, I worked out here and there but struggled a lot with getting a workout planned that worked and with what to eat and how much. I have never had a PT before but Dan has been an amazing. I'm only a month in with him but I'm already starting to see results... something I had been struggling with for years on my own. Not to mention, he's been very flexible and understanding with my financial situation. I wish I could go in for more sessions with him. He's a dork but it adds to the fun and rapport isn't an issue with him. He's a perfectionist and it shows through his meticulous planning. Dan Beck is an excellent personal trainer who has helped me improve my cardiovascular and pulmonary health drastically in just a few short months. He is very knowledgeable about the human body and how it responds to exercise, and he is always careful to ensure that I am using proper form to avoid injury. He is also very supportive and understanding of my needs, especially with some mental health issues that would have stopped me in my tracks without Dan’s help. We just started working on strength training, and I’m already noticing significant results. Dan is very passionate and knowledgeable about training and fitness, and it really shows through with each session. He really takes the time to get to know individual strengths and weaknesses. He even identified an issue in my shoulder that I didn’t even know about, and immediately began forming a plan to correct it. I never leave a session feeling like he didn’t give his full effort. Q&As

I do individual assessments with each client and no "cookie-cutter" programs or 30-day challenges. Each program is designed for the individual. Most people have specific weak and strong areas that must be taken into account to set up long-term success and results. I focus on injury prevention and since results typically don't happen overnight, while working towards the long-term goal, I look to have my clients be able to achieve something on every workout they couldn't do the previous one. Every workout is a win and an accomplishment. I am also instructional so when you want to workout without me, you have the knowledge to do so confidently and be able to make progress on your own.

Consistency and dedication. If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you. Fitness is an evolution and not something that happens overnight. Having someone who supports you and has been through it themselves, who can put themselves in your shoes, goes a long way as well.

Helping people live better lives. Everyone has different reasons for improving their physical health and they're all important. Seeing people achieve that better quality of life, confidence, and general happiness is very rewarding. Also, I'm a pretty outgoing person and enjoy getting to know my clients personally, and we get to have fun while working out!

I suffered a major medical issue that I was given 48 hours to live in August of 2017. I fell into a coma, and somehow, I survived. I couldn't move when I came out of it. I was told I would need heart, liver and kidney transplants and would be a vegetable for the rest of my life. I wound up doing my own rehab and beat all the odds, so I wanted to take my knowledge and experience and use it to try and help other people improve their own lives and fitness goals. Take a look at the transformation I had to go through after my coma in August of 2017. I had to rebuild my body from scratch so I understand how to undertake and achieve large transformations, which allows me to be able to empathize with my clients and put together programs based off of my own real-life experience. I'm also instructional, and been told I have a fun and humorous personality. I want you to achieve your goals but have fun doing it.

I do have a personal app that if you are looking for the coaching and expertise of a certified fitness coach without needing to meet in person, I can help. I am also able to work with nutrition goals through the app as well. I still provide custom programs for each individual and do weekly phone/video meetings, as well as communication as needed from day-to-day.
