I never even knew this tavern was here. But came here simply for a drink with a friend and ended up ordering lunch. I ordered the grilled chicken tacos which came with red beans and rice. It was surprisingly delicious. Sometimes the small neighborhood bar/restaurants is just the thing to beat the crowds and have great food and friendly service. I was told about their homemade bis it and gravy for breakfast....will have to try it another visit and post my review. More...

I gave them four stars for their French fries. I did not care for my main course which was chicken parmesan. But the service was really good and the atmosphere was nice. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing.

UPDATE: Within a few hours of leaving this review a manager contacted me to apologize and to find out more information so that they could fix the problem. That to me is the epitome of customer service and a guarantee of quality service. 5 stars.I visited West Beach Tavern to attend a reunion show for the first band I was ever in, Construkt. West Beach Tavern clearly did not know what they were getting themselves into as they definitely struggled a bit through the night, and we could all tell that they were not used to that many people at their establishment. This is your typical hole in the wall bar. Seriously. Why do I give it 5 stars, you ask? Simple. This bar is so incredibly diverse, with such a good, upbeat vibe. The atmosphere alone will bring you back. It's a local hangout most days, but Tuesday nights they do their "dj open mic night, so to speak. That's the night I usually go. It's usually not a huge crowd, but it is growing since more and more people are hearing about it. It's a good mix of so many different people coming together over music. There's no negativity. No fighting. No competing. Just good times, good beats, and good company. As for the bar itself; the drinks are good, the food is decent, the staff is awesome. Drinks aren't watered down or too strong. Food is your typical bar food, but anything I've had I've thoroughly enjoyed. The old Bar None! Coming here really brought back some good, old memories. The place has a good layout and enough space for dancing and entertaining. I initially went here for paint night and was warmly welcomed by Nicole, one of the waitresses. She made some great drinks such as the Amaretta Sour and the Colorado Bulldog.
