Corn chowder is the best I’ve had. The pulled pork and ribs are great. Large portions and very reasonably priced.

We have loved Yankee Smokehouse for decades. We went there on a whim a few weeks ago, and it was wonderful. They have COVID safety measures in place, such as calling from your phone to answer some questions. Another reviewer here complained about it. I’m willing to do what it takes to help keep restaurants open. Thanks to Yankee Smokehouse for delivering delicious food in a clean and friendly environment during a tough time. Keep up the great work. Also, don’t let me order the strawberry shortcake again. It was huge, and too good for my current eating plan More...

spent almost 70.00 for cold over seasoned pizza, cold flavorless mac n cheese, ribs were dry and not much meat on them, not worth the wait and what we spent, this place never disappointed but this time it was a huge miss. probably won't come back for awhile More...

Great spot - plenty of social distancing in the back - actually they should consider keeping this portion open (weather permitting) Food portions were great - cost was affordable- workers are very friendly and helpful

Food was delicious.  Had a little trouble calling ahead as the line was busy.  Finally got our order placed and it was worth it.   Plenty of food, even get to bring some home.   Nice picnic style dining under the tent.   I'd go back. More...

Edible when choices are limited.  The price point was high for the quality.    Meat was on the dry side and fatty.    The best part was the cornbread and maple butter.   We got the huge family platter for 4 of us.   If there are no other options then give it a try.   Maybe the non BBQ food is better More...

Unfortunately I haven't been here in years but figured during the rainstorm to try it out.  The cornbread was delicous.  The homemade mac and cheese was a coffee cup of pasta with very little cheese flavor, the box tastes better.  The two piece corn on the cob was actually one cob broken in half, hence 2 pieces.  $16. later.  The biggest complaint is lack of employees wearing masks/gloves in the kitchen preparing the food.  The only employee wearing a mask was the cashier.  The same pen was used by customers signing their slips.  Very disappointed they are not taking the Covid 19 more seriously.  Trying to support local businesses but not if they aren't taking any precautions. Absolutely love this place! My hubby is from the south where there's lots of BBQ and he was blown away.  Such great food!  We try to visit whenever we're in the area.

My father and I stopped here for lunch on the way home, and we were pleasantly surprised! Their pulled pork was very moist, with bbq sauce on the side. Not your mothers crock pot pulled pork for sure. Awesome gluten free options. Gluten free pizza, buns, meats. The brisket was good. Pretty moist, dad said it was probably the third best he'd tried (out of about ten). Mashed potatoes were good, creamy but not completely smooth. I didn't mind. Fries were unsalted and soggy. Felt like they were old or an afterthought. Overall, great place to stop by if you're passing through. More...

The brisket was tasteless. No indication that it was smoked at all. No smoke ring, no bark, no smoked flavor. It tasted like an oven roasted brisket. Was it terrible, no. Was it good, no. More...

I've driven on Route 16 too many times to keep passing by this place, so I made the trip just to check it out one day. Wasn't overly thrilled but not disappointed. Place is pretty big, a couple different areas in the building to choose from, A Bar, Casual Dining, Almost Fine Dining.Happy to find that they had a sampler platter for one. At first glance it almost looks like if you want to try 3 essential BBQ meats you have to get a big portion of each. But they broke the magic rule, my Brisket had sauce all over it, ticked me off.But the Brisket was actually pretty good. No Rub to it though, Fat could melt a little better. But the sauce Completely ruins it. It was just too powerful.Tried a small half chicken. Very smokey flavor to it, very good, very moist inside. Not completely white meat.Baked Beans are said to be famous, I wouldn't say so. Cooked perfectly to the best texture, there on the sweet side but kind subtle. Coleslaw was typical. Texas toast was typical, but a nice change up. Ribs were excellent! Not too much meat on the bone, doesn't slide right off, super smokey flavor, and No Sauce on it, Great Rub too.Pulled Pork was really good too. Not greasy, Not super moist or dry, no hard super duper flavor punch. Although the pork was surrounded completely by everything else on the plate so it might have been able to stay at a real good temperature. They only have the one house sauce and it instantly made me think of Ketchup. If I gave you a cup of the sauce and told you to tell me what it is, you would say ketchup from the taste. And they keep the sauce warm in a crock pot. More...

There was a time, when I lived in NH about 10-15 years ago, when I visited the Yankee Smokehouse, at least once a month. I was in the area yesterday and stopped in for lunch. My review of my recent Yankee Smokehouse visit, doesn't really need many words.  The words are:Disgusting.  Awful.  Inedible.  Over-priced.It's not even a "BBQ Joint" any more, it's a BBQ & Pizza House ... what?  Yep, that's what the sign and menu says.I'll be my bottom dollar, the Yankee Smokehouse was sold to a new owner, who decided they knew way more than the original owner and was going to turn it into a "real business".   FAIL.When you walk in, you might think it's a "sports bar" ... I guess that's what the front of the house is supposed to be, with (3) over-sized TV.  Unfortunately, they were all tuned to afternoon soap operas.  Oh well, maybe there are good bartenders?  Nah, they're too busy doing whatever, to pay any attention to the customers at that bar.  Of course, there were 2 of us at the bar, so I could see how the bartenders could be overwhelmed. The bar/lunch menu, only had about 4 items on it, none of it BBQ.I had what was billed as a "prime rib sandwich".   To suggest it was inedible, is over-stating the facts.  It looked and tasted, disgusting.  $14.95 for an inedible sandwich ... although, I'll admit the steakhouse fries were properly cooked and hot.Don't wast your time or money, nor risk your stomach, on the Yankee Smokehouse.  It's not what it used to be, back when they sold "No Pig Before its Time". We had a very young short girl who was nice and helpful, meal was ok and we ate most of it. The girl with the purple hair was very helpful to each customer and personable ,I watched, The only thing was it was really really hot in there she must’ve turned up the heat because wow it was hot in there. I’m still cooling off. I really hope to get either the nice young girl or the tall girl with purple hair fingers crossed, when we go back. I recommend the BBQ we drove a long way to try and sell some of my handmade NH license plate keychains and magnets. I even left a couple business cards On the men’s room bulletin boards. More...

Had an amazing meal here, last night. Karole, our server was friendly, attentive and answered all of our questions with a smile.  The food was out of this world! I got the best Reuben sandwich I've ever eaten. The corned beef was melt in your mouth and the rye bread was perfect in thickness and flavor.  My husband got the burnt ends dinner. The ends were  tender and sweet and perfect! My brother in law got the grilled prime rib and it was melt in your mouth perfection!  His masked potatoes were awesome and the slaw my husband  got was more vinegar than mayo, just how we like it!  my only complaint, and my husband  agrees, and it's a small complaint, the fries I got and he got  could've been cooked a bit longer, but we didn't specify well done fries, so that is on us.  We all got dessert...my hubby and I got the grape nut pudding. Warm and creamy and so absolute delicious. My BIL got the brow ie sundae and never spoke one word until he finished. It was that good.   We've  va toned up in this area and my BIL lives up here.  We've had some horrors when it came to dining out.   We will definitely be back k to Yankee Smokehouse. More...
