I'm so glad I found Wedding Co of Williamsburg. I always knew I wanted a wedding planner, but Jess and her team helped me figure out the level of service I needed for my big day (day of planner). Jess even helped me figure out my ceremony venue and gave me pointers on how to book it without issue or delay--this was before I had signed any contract with her (amazing!). As I was getting married in Williamsburg, it was incredibly helpful to have someone who knew the area well--and had worked at my venues and with my vendors. I worked with Hilary as my day of planner. I can't even put in words how much she helped me. She is calm, cool, and collected; she is polite, but strong and assertive enough to get the job done, especially with goofy/loud big families and groomsmen cracking jokes! She has an attention to detail that is so important, especially as we set the timeline, and pushed me to "let go" of my need to oversee and control every detail so that I could enjoy my wedding day. She built my trust and I had a fabulous time...not once worrying if she could handle all of my demands. More than that, she was like a mind-reader. She anticipated what I needed before I asked, went looking for something I didn't know I needed, and gathered all the key players so that we could keep on a schedule. It was hot and humid on my wedding and she held a personal fan to my face so that my makeup wouldn't run--dedication! ;) I also had so many surprises and twists/turns in my wedding, including a special and very elaborate entrance for my dog. As the mother of the bride, she helped both my daughter and myself in every possible way throughout the entire planning process. The best decision we made when planning our wedding was to connect with and hire Jess from the Wedding Co of Williamsburg, LLC. Her expertise in the months that led up to our big event saved us time and money. She knew all of the vendors well and she knew our venue (the Williamsburg Inn) like the back of her hand. Our wedding was on September 15, 2018 (in the middle of Hurricane Florence!). Jess got us through vendor cancelations, questionable weather, a number of other stressors. We selected the Full Coordination Package and pulled in Jess about a year before our wedding... and it was worth every. single. penny. My now husband and I were living far from Williamsburg, both working busy jobs, and decided early on that we'd want help. Jess knows so much about weddings in general and specifically Williamsburg-area vendors, and even though I am an organized person, there is no way I could have kept track of everything without her and kept my sanity. She is incredibly responsive, beyond friendly, and finds a great balance between letting you run with your own vision and adding in her own suggestions based on her experience.On the day of the wedding, everything went beyond smoothly. We hired Jess as our wedding planner about a year before our wedding, but we moved to the west coast 2 months after we hired her. To make our planning process easier, she provided a variety of quality vendor options that fits our requirements and budget before we move, and helped us secured most of them in a short 2 months period. Hiring Jess and her team for our wedding was the best decision made! From the very beginning she was extremely sweet, helpful, and responsive! I can't imagine planning a wedding without her knowledge and help! She provided insight on details I wouldn't have even thought of and always kept my wedding vision in mind. Of the hundreds of decisions we made in planning our daughter's recent wedding, one of the very best was our decision to hire Jess Aiken - Wedding Company of Williamsburg. She is extremely organized and focused (a must for dealing with someone as "type A" as me), she was unfailing prompt, responsive, knowledgeable and helpful, and without exception, was delightful to deal with every step of the way. After our initial meeting, I had high expectations of Jess, and she exceeded even those. Since we were planning a Virginia wedding from Florida, I leaned heavily on Jess for local recommendations and advise, and she was always spot on. When asked, she always gave me several recommendations and I never felt like she had her own agenda or favorites. She clearly wanted the best fit for us. I had a comprehensive plan for the ceremony and reception and she cared as much as I did about executing even the smallest detail. Having Jess onboard allowed me to relax and enjoy being the Mother of the Bride. It absolutely poured down raining shortly before the planned outdoor ceremony and reception. Jess was steady and calm and touched base periodically with me with just enough information so I felt confident that all was being taken care of (she judiciously spared me the details -- thus saving me the worry). Jess and her team were simply outstanding! I'm a parent of a new bride who did much of her own planning, coordination, décor, etc. At first, I didn't know we needed a wedding coordinator. Put simply: Jess made our wedding the happiest day of our lives... She has been a true blessing and I cannot imagine the wedding process without her by my side. Our wedding would not have been the same without Jess and her team's help. Hurricane Matthew was schedule to hit Williamsburg the day of our wedding with 80mph winds and torrential down pours. With an outdoor tented reception, we were beyond worried. Jess was so organized and laid out several great backup plans that still kept the feel we were looking for. To spare me the stress, she even made back up plans that I didn't know about in case our venue (part of William and Mary's campus) was required to shut down due to the storm. Luckily, the storm didn't hit in full force and we were still able to have our tented reception as planned. Jess and team really went above and beyond for our wedding. We hired her as a day of coordinator but what she delivered was so much more than that and we could not be more grateful. Jess made our day the best it could possibly be. We hired Jess as a day-of coordinator, which included additional help during the month leading up to the wedding. Jess was available day and night. We had 2 changes to the guest count, one the night before the wedding, and Jess handled it without breaking a sweat. I knew any issue I had should would take care of. Put simply: Jess made our wedding the happiest day of our lives... She has been a true blessing and I cannot imagine the wedding process without her by my side. Everyone kept asking why I wasn't stressed the months, days, and even hours leading up to the wedding- I had complete confidence in Jess and she made the entire planning process a joy! My mom and I truly had fun with this experience and we owe that all to Jess. She let us weigh in and be a part of the fun stuff while she did the nitty gritty, researching, and logistics. If you're in the market for a wedding planner, you need look no further. Jess did an outstanding job working with us planning the wedding and she knocked it out of the park on the wedding weekend. We came to Jess a little more than 8 months before our wedding and we had essentially done nothing. Within 2.5 months we had booked almost all of our vendors, selected a date and venue, and the entire time Jess kept us on track, within our budget and couldn't have been friendlier. She did a great job handling all of our vendors from interview to contract execution, prompting us when decisions and payments were needed, and she organized everyone and coordinated all of their activities day of-all with the perfection of an orchestra conductor. We had our wedding in Williamsburg and only made a handful of planning trips to the area in the months ahead of time. Jess did most of the planning with us over the phone and email. Jess was very efficient with our time when we made trips to town to interview vendors and select a venue. She had an agenda written and emailed to us in advance of every trip and was very organized. We had a handful of curveballs the week of the wedding handed to us by Mother Nature. Within 4 days we went from an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour to a completely indoor event-complete with helping us book a tent heater and ceiling drapery.

Jessica did an amazing job as our daughter's wedding planner. I lived out of the country at the time and I didn't have to worry about anything. Jessica answered all of my questions and promptly answered all of my emails. Jessica also helped set up my daughter's Bridal Shower. I didn't have to lift a finger, she planned everything. The Bridal shower was awesome! The wedding was so beautiful and so wonderful!! My daughter didn't have to worry about anything on her wedding day. She just thoroughly enjoyed being the bride and enjoyed being with all of her bridesmaids!!!!! The wedding itself was planned exceptionally well and everything worked like clockwork, as they say. The wedding was in January during a snow blizzard and Jessica made sure that everything went as planned. My husband and I have tried for several weeks to try to write a review that we felt accurately portrayed our experience with the Wedding Co. Of Williamsburg. We can't - so this will have to do. We moved to VA 6 months before our wedding and met Jess with only 5 months left to go. From the minute we met her to the minute my name was changed, we have never felt more taken care of. She went right to work helping us select vendors, scheduling appointments and site visits to try to catch up with what little time we had left to plan. Tight budget? Not a problem, she has quality vendors for you. Jess was always available, quick to respond, and made us feel like the only couple on her radar. We never felt rushed, stressed, or overwhelmed - Jess has an uncanny ability to make you feel at peace with your plans and guides you flawlessly through any situation. Literally - this woman is the reason we had a beautiful wedding in the middle of a blizzard. The minute the storm was on the radar, Jess was calling every vendor to make sure that they would still be there day of. She arranged transportation, made calls at all hours, and even put together several backup plans before either of us even had the chance to worry. Despite the travel delays, terrible weather conditions and constant change of guest count, Jess pulled it off flawlessly. We were never out of the loop or unsure of the plan - as someone who is very much a planner, this was imperative. From the minute I arrived at the venue to get ready to the second we arrived back at the hotel, we had a blast. Every single vendor arrived on time. When our numbers dropped because of the weather, Jess negotiated with the venue to make sure we were still getting our money's worth. As the MOB I wholeheartedly and happily recommend Jess and her team. we couldn't have pulled off our event without her. She took on the challenge of working with us in Montgomery County, MD despite being based in w'burg. She helped pull together all the moving parts at our garden wedding/reception, including food trucks, beverage service, decor, setup, and tear down. Her assistant literally went above the call of duty to hang ribbon chandeliers from the 14 foot tent ceiling! Jessica was such a big help throughout our entire wedding planning process. Initially we thought that we didn't need a wedding coordinator, but after talking with Jessica, we realized how important it was to have somebody helping us who had experience with all the ins and outs of wedding planning. There were so many little details we never would've thought of, and Jessica helped every step of the way. Jessica with Wedding Co. of Williamsburg was our savior during the entirety of an almost two year planning process!

My husband and I decided to work with her early on because she was upbeat, professional, and said the one thing that we wanted to hear, "You will be a guest at your own wedding. " And we were!! She made everything easy and far less stressful than it would've been without her. She was extremely easy to get in touch with (at almost any hour of the day) and was incredibly proficient with every task we gave her. She coordinated our vendors and even helped to set up an emergency rehearsal dinner!!
