Ambrosia catering really lit my fire. If you want a large crowd to be the happiest they have ever been then you need to hire them. Amazing! We couldn't have picked a better place. Several different options for decor And different colors. Very elegant! The patio is wonderful also . Margaret and her staff were just fantastic! They take care of everything!!! Her time line for the whole wedding and reception was perfect. Being the Mother of the Bride I was very grateful to have Margaret! We invited 130 people to our wedding, and ended up with a guest count of about 100. Our experience with VIP Special Events was amazing! They were the perfect size for our wedding, but might be a bit small closer to 150+ guests.
We initially booked with them because they are so all-inclusive, and they do not require couples to pay a fee to use vendors outside of their preferred vendors. HOWEVER, there are SO MANY MORE reasons we booked with them.
1) Margaret will make centerpieces for you (just share your Pinterest board and meet with her so she'll know what you want), and you rent them at a small fee so you don't have to spend time making decorations that you'll never use again.
2) They provide the tables, chairs, and tablecloths at no extra cost. WORTH it!!
3) The space is BEAUTIFUL and in a great location- overlooking English Landing Park in Parkville. They even have a gorgeous deck overlooking the river and park!
4) Lovely "getting ready" spaces for the bride and groom. The bride's space even has its own bathroom- I was SUPER grateful for this during the reception when I didn't want to have to go in the public bathroom in my dress (brides, you know how difficult and awkward this can be).
5) AWESOME staff who seem to think of everything, and are really responsive if they haven't and you ask for something.

We can't say enough fantastic things about the team at VIP Special Event Space. Our experience with them was simply incredible from start to finish. They are a family owned operation and from our very first meeting to the big day, they treated us like we were part of the family. They were easy to work with, so friendly and helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the planning process. Margaret helped us figure out every detail of our day and no matter what question we had for her, she responded with a quick, through, friendly answer. She also prepared our wonderful decor which turned out exactly how we wanted it. The day/night of the event went off without a hitch thanks to their expert guidance. Margaret, Marci, and their excellent staff kept us moving through the night and were there to help us every step of the way. We couldn't have asked for a more skilled, charismatic MC/DJ than Milton. He was a hit! We were able to relax and enjoy the evening because we knew everyone was in good hands. We kept hearing from our guests that they were in awe of the space. My husband and I were married at VIP Special Event Space and we cannot say enough good things about this first-class operation. We chose this venue because it is beautiful and offered a contemporary vibe in a historic setting---a beautiful juxtaposition. We selected the all-inclusive package that included our ceremony and reception, with décor, wedding coordination, in-house DJ and photography because it seemed like a great, stress-free option. We chose well! Our wedding was an absolute dream come true!! Every detail was executed with perfection. Margaret was our wedding coordinator, Milton was DJ and emcee, Marci and Mariah were our photographers. AMAZING!! These folks know how to put on a well-thought out, stress-free, beautiful and FUN event. Ours got RAVE reviews, many people telling us it was the most fun wedding they had ever attended. Like most brides planning a wedding, I was prepared for snafus. We had tight timelines and even the slightest delay could have made things go awry. I had no reason to worry---the VIP team executed my timeline with such elegant continuity that the whole day flowed beautifully without a single hiccup! Every, single detail just as I had wished for. I could not be more pleased and am ELATED that we chose this venue and the all-inclusive package. Their team works so well together --- they literally bring your vision to life. You get the VIP treatment when you attend a special event here! Our first visit to this facility was their New Year's Eve Masquerade Ball, which was a lot of fun. The band was a joy to listen and dance to. When they took breaks, the owner kept us dancing as he DJ a variety of music. Marci, his wife was the perfect hostess from greeting us the moment we walked in to periodically making her rounds to see if we needed anything. There was plenty of seating for all and the finger foods were tasty. The actual space is beautiful, with gorgeous flooring and great lighting. We got a chance to take a tour the space and when we saw the bridal area downstairs a friend exclaimed she wanted to get married again so she could use the room. It's spectacular! We used VIP for both our DJ and Photographer. They both did a wonderful job and we received a discount for using multiple services! The DJ attended our rehearsal so we could practice with the sound system and he provided music for our ceremony. At the reception all the guests had a great time and probably would have stayed later to dance after our reception was over. The photographer was so easy to work with as well. Prior to the big day we set up a timeline and discussed what shots were important to me. The day of the wedding it rained…a lot, but we still were able to get so many beautiful pictures outdoors. She was very good at giving direction when needed. They both helped my husband and I know where to be and when, which helped the reception go so smoothly. We are so pleased with our choice to work with VIP! I received a few of the sneak peaks just days after the wedding. They looked amazing, I am so anxious to receive the rest of the photos in a few weeks. We have already received many compliments from the sneak peaks, I know all the others will be wonderful too!
