Edwards, Colorado, Eagle
Village Bagel is Eagle County's only real bagel shop, hand rolling, boiling, and baking fresh every morning. We also make Sicilian pizzas from scratch, have a full liquor license, and offer offsite catering unique to the needs of each customer, but with the same consistent level of service, hospitality, and passion you'll find in our shop in Edwards.

Expensive but hey where else are you going to get anything even close to the quality of an east coast bagel? You wouldn't think finding fresh squeezed oj would be difficult but this is one of the few casual breakfast places that does. The NYC upgrade is my go to and they have fantastic challah. More...

I drove from Silverthorne to Edwards today just to give them a try, I usually drive down to Golden but got sick of the drive. I got there minutes before they closed and got a dozen to go, with a scally smear, when I got home I immediately had a sesame... Wow! They're great! No more trips to Big Daddys! And... the staff is absolutely amazing, like I said, it was before closing time so they threw in several extras. You have a new customer for life! More...

Connie is a total rockstar! We were lucky enough to have Village Bagel recommended to us for our post-wedding brunch. The bagel sandwiches were a total hit with guests. Everyone left with full hearts and full stomachs. Village Bagel is now a scheduled stop for us every time we drive through the Vail Valley. More...

Best New York bagel with lox, capers, tomato, onions, and a generous schmear of scallion cream cheese I've ever had ("NYC Upgrade"). Coffee was equally excellent! Must try! Friendly vibe, welcoming staff, wonderful breakfast! :). Only a cozier location could improve the experience but don't let that stop you!! You'll thank yourself! More...

Although far from New York, the bagels here are made New York style; hand rolled, boiled and then baked. To me these are the best bagels one can have, soft interior with a crunchy bite. The creations here are endless including breakfast bagels. They also have some specialty creations. I had a garlic bagel with sausage, egg and Swiss cheese. So freaking delicious! The staff is friendly and inside resembles a 50's burger and shake place, very vibrant. The coffee is also robust. If you are in the area and yearning for bagels, definitely come here, you will not be disappointed. More...

From Dallas to DELISH!!!!I recently took my boys to Beaver Creek and after picking up my Starbucks one morning, I found myself across the street at Village Bagel. The staff was casual and friendly and the place had a great vibe. What I didn't know yet....was that the bagels and cream cheese would take me back to my childhood!! My sister and I frequented The Bagel Chain in Dallas, literally every day before and/or after school. There was just something about the bagels and cream cheese that I have never experienced since....until Village Bagel!!!! Knock my socks off! I was 14 again! My kids asked where these have been all their lives! I love the story and passion behind the small business. That's love in a bagel!!!! More...

So many different food choices too that I still need to try. Will keep you posted. I also neglected to take photos because I ate my food too fast. So so good. I will post again soon with photos! Making people happy through simple, honest comfort food and unconditional hospitality.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We are two East Coast kids living in the mountains. We were sick of complaining that there's nowhere to get fresh bagels in Vail, so we nerded out on everything bagels, from their complex history and migration to NY and beyond, to the old fashioned way of boiling and baking them. We started baking bagels out of our home in very small batches. (Really delicious, slow-fermented, boiled and baked, bagels.) What we learned? Nostalgia food is the best food. We craved the simple soul food of our childhood, and wanted to create an eatery of our own where local families and visitors build fun, lasting memories, just like the ones of our youth. Here is where Village Bagel was born. We wanted to bring a slice of our old home to our new home, focusing on a return to tradition.
Why should our clients choose you?
We were just awarded New Business of the Year for the 2019 Vail Valley Partnership's Annual Success Awards. We were nominated top three for 2 Best of Vail awards in 2018: 2nd place in Best Workers Lunch and 3rd place in Best Baked Goods.
