Phenomenal staff and ownership. Brisket was a little overdone for my liking but that could just be my preference. Great portions. . and all around great experience. Wow!  Not sure why there are not better reviews. Let me first start with the service. In a day and age where the majority of service is questionable they knocked it out of the park. The man behind the counter has a personality that you won't find many places. He was friendly and polite. The food was beyond what we could have imagined. While they were out of ribs it forced us to try something out of our comfort zone. The Brisket was lean flavorful and great naked. I also tried the catfish and thought I was back east. Being from TX and an avid smoker of meats the food was very good. I just wish the portion sizes were bigger for the money and they had more gluten free options like gluten free beer.

Took the drive thru for lunch, lady taking my order was super funny and helpful, food only took a minute to get ready as soon as I pulled up. Got home, food was still hot and delicious!! The first time we went, we felt like the portions were a little small- a month later, Uturn announced they were making their portions larger.
A mistake was made in the drive-thru, and when I called to report it, they made sure we were well taken care of when we went back.
It's so nice to have a restaurant that not only offers delicious food, but also listens to their guests and offers great service.

Best pulled pork sandwich I've eaten since I arrived here in the Denver area last September. (I'm not going to name names of the crappy places). This place is clean, the decor is I would say modern and a little on the sophisticated side yet still relaxingly casual. Next time will be eat in. I don't think you could find better service than I received and I ordered to go. They serve coleslaw on top of the pulled pork inside the sandwich. I was hungry and have been meaning to come by for months and give my Southern girl opinion of their BBQ.

Went here on a Friday evening.
Saw this place on social media and have been wanting to go since they opened.
When we walked in there was only a few people in the restaurant but we were greeted right away with friendly and attentive cashiers.
They asked if we have been in before and we have not and then they went on to explain about the food and the beer.
They said everything is homemade. Even the beer is brewed in the back.
Had a good selection of meats and sides.
We ordered the brisket and catfish as main entree and then potato salad, mac n chz and smoked beans as our sides.
All barbecue sauces are make in house.
The biscuits and pickles are delicious.
This food was great.
I love barbecue and this is up there with some of the best I have had.
I will drive from Thornton for this everyday.
Very friendly staff.
I recommend this place to all barbecue lovers.

Beef brisket is always a mixed bag for me at other BBQ joints. I love beef but it's almost always dry. Not so at Uturn BBQ. The most tender beef brisket I've ever had! I also appreciate that it doesn't taste like liquid smoke. Just naturally smoked, not overpowering. Great choice of sauces that all taste distinctly different. Yum. Wow! Great BBQ, tasty beer, and friendly help. They have made a former Burger King into a hip restaurant you want to relax in. I had the brisket dinner and was impressed by the entire plate. I will definitely be back.

I will say, the price was a little high for ordering at a counter, the mac & cheese was just okay, and the beers a little small. However, these are far outweighed by the positives. You won't be dissapointed. GOOD! More...

I don't care who you are or from where you hail, if you're looking for exceptional BBQ, just go here. The brisket is so soft and tender you can cut it with a plastic fork. This place was awesome. From the moment we arrived we were treated like kings and pampered more than could have been expected. The whole hog was delicious and the sides were amazing. And I can't say enough about the sauce!! Very vinegary and tangy with a pepper kick and not too sweet. Reminds me of my favorite family BBQ sauce from childhood.

Had a blast and can't wait for the next Whole hog!

The standout dish here is the brisket. It is tasty, mostly lean, and so tender you can tear off bite-sized pieces with a fork. It's the best brisket I've had anywhere, even home-made. The pulled pork and the catfish nuggets are also very good. A surprise favorite is the macaroni and cheese, which is house-made and loaded with tasty cheese. The pickles are very good too, with a bright, sharp flavor. For dessert they offer a brownie, which is tasty but huge; one brownie feeds a family of four. They have a selection of house-made sauces at the table, which are tasty and fairly mild; the House is my favorite. They offer most meats in a sandwich or a plate, or in bulk (1/2 or 1 pound). The plates are very generous, and are good if you are really hungry, otherwise a sandwich is a good choice.A few things were not to my taste. I thought the sausage was nothing special; it's OK if you dip it in a lot of sauce. The biscuits were more like small dinner rolls and didn't have much taste. I also thought the hamburgers were disappointing, compared to their other meats.You order at the counter, and they bring your food to you (and bus your table when you are done). Service is cheerful and reasonably fast. They make their own beer, which I haven't tried. There's a drive-through window, which I haven't tried either; most people seem to prefer to eat inside. Nicely done U turn team. I can see first hand why this is a wildly popular barbecue destination.

My 2 meat combo was Composed of an outstanding moist sliced smoked brisket, and some of the best smoked pork ribs I have had in a while.

Ben and his team serve a dynamite Smoked mac and cheese that will leave you wanting more.

Visited last night (6/5) at roughly 6pm. Disappointed in the visit vs. previous visits. I didn't want the larger glass (which seemed to be the only glasses sitting out), so asked if the smaller glass (tall skinny cylindrical glasses which used to be the only size available) was still available. She pulled one out from somewhere. Yes, I'll have that. Still got charged $6 for it, even though smaller. Then was given a number - "we'll bring the beer out to you". 5 minutes later, still no beer, had to walk up to the counter and ask for it. Usually BBQ is a fairly quick to arrived on a plate being that it's cooked in advance, but we had to wait probably 10-15 minutes before the food arrived. The place wasn't even all that crowded. This place is fantastic from service, Candice, fully explaining the menu for both adults and kids along with her simple and polite recommendations. The 0ulled pirk sandwich is superb, my daughter loved the green beans ( she is an official green bean lover, but only if done right). I loved the homemade chips. I nearly forgot to mention their terrific buns that the pulled pork comes on, soft and buttery... yummo! Soooooo good! We have tried the brisket, the chicken sandwich, pulled pork, sausage, Mac and cheese and slaw. Everything was fantastic! Their fries are so yummy too! My mouth is watering just thinking about this place. They make their own beer too and I have to say, it's pretty damn good :) Go check them out! After hearing so many good things about U Turn BBQ, I had to try it for myself--and I was not disappointed! I had the pulled pork plate with coleslaw and baked beans, and it was delicious! It came with a cheddar jalapeno biscuit and pickles, and I tried the fried pickles as well. Everything is made entirely from scratch and is so fresh. The coleslaw is the best I've ever had, and the meat is so good, you don't even need sauce. I had to try all the different kinds of sauce on the table, though, and they were excellent. I topped it off with a cherry-lime Kolsch, which was amazing and so refreshing. It's a lot of food, so come hungry! I took some home for lunch the next day, and it was still delicious. I ate at Uturn BBQ for the first time yesterday and had a superb experience. I strongly recommend this restaurant to others and will be returning. The highlights were --

1. Karla, Uturn's co-owner, gave me a warm welcome as I walked in to pay for my my take-out order. It's always nice to feel 'connected' to a place by being able to put a name and a face behind the place you eat.

2. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and welcoming. They have huge garage doors that will be awesome when they're open especially during the summer.

3. The food was delicious and the prices were what I'd expect to pay. I ate the two meat plate with the brisket and the pulled pork. I would order both again and love that they include a number of sauces to try with the meat.

When I want BBQ again, I'll be returning to Uturn for the food and the beer. More...

We went here because they catered lunch at my husband's work. We thought the food was pretty good. I agree that the staff seems pretty young and possibly not bbq experts, but the guy who took our order went out of his way to be sure ourchild, who has significant food allergies, could safely eat here. The pulled pork and brisket were good. I didn't care for the Mac n Cheese, but my husband loved it. I can't give it 5 stars because my daughters cheeseburger was under cooked -I don't mind rare burgers, but I don't allow my kiddos to eat rare burgers. We have been here a few times and each time has been amazing. We love their brisket and ribs but we have heard from others that they like the pulled pork the best. Just went for dinner on a Saturday evening and wow! The atmosphere is incredible, the food The best pulled chicken sand which I have ever had and my boyfriends brisket. ..AMAZING!!!!!! And the fried pickles, dot even get me started. Homemade pickles (which I usually only like mine) were to die for!

Nice locally owned restaurant with pleasant atmosphere. outside has a covered patio with corn hole.  The brisket and burnt ends are great and the pulled for is very good. The homestyle sauce is really good.  Brownies are fantastic.  Not a fan of the beer - too mainstream for me (Gravity, Odd 13 fan).  Sides are also good .. slaw, chips, potato salad.Staff is hit or miss.  The POS system is either as complicated as getting a plane ticket or they need training.  BUT everybody is friendly and the low-key vibe makes it a nice place for a meal. I recently visited with a friend and enjoyed the two meat plate. I had smoked sausage (didn't arrive hot) and smoked chicken. This place is great! I was very pleased with my catfish plate-The catfish had a really good breading on it and came out piping hot (no one wants cold catfish). The sides are killer as well.
