Our experience with Unity Karaoke was amazing. First, let me say that Tom is genuine - kind, helpful, and he makes sure you know how to use the equipment. The setup exceeded my expectations and our party guests were really impressed. Tom made sure we had his contact information in case we had issues, but everything worked perfectly for the three days we had it - we never needed to call Tom. Every song you could want to sing was either available to sing through Tom's library, or by accessing Youtube Karaoke songs, which Tom walked us through before he left. 10/10. More...

We rented Unity Karaoke for our company party last year. Needless to say it was a hit! The individual who set up the equipment was very helpful, and gave me an easy to understand breakdown of the equipment and operating it. Thomas was very responsive via email and phone. He even let us sneak in a couple extra songs when he came to pick up the equipment. We closed the hotel bar down...and I would say it was because of Unity Karaoke. More...

What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
- Meet with the client ahead of the wedding or event.
- Design a unique playlist tailored to the host and their guests.
- Take requests ahead of the event, and during the event.
- Adjust the music as the evening progresses to keep everyone engaged!
How would you describe your ‘style’?
A range of Pop, Rock, R&B, Country, and everything in-between! We try to always appeal to 80% of the guests in the room or on the dance floor. That means staying away from obscure or harsh music that detracts from the event. We take requests, but use our best judgement and previous experience to dictate what should and shouldn't be played. Every event is a little different and we want the guests to leave with a smile on their face!
What do you love most about your job?
Connecting with clients to really understand the needs of their event, and meeting/exceeding those expectations. We understand anyone can be a DJ and play music from a laptop. What sets Northern Sound apart is the desire to make your event memorable, and lending our expertise and customer service knowhow to help with that event.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always wanted to be an entrepreneur and work for myself. I ultimately chose DJ'ing because of my passion for music, my experience/skills in IT, and my charisma on a microphone. The most stable industry for DJ's is the Wedding industry. From there, Northern Sound Entertainment was formed. We have gone on to add additional services I am passionate about providing such as karaoke and videography!
