do not rent from this company. rented us a home them stinks of cat piss and is infested with mice, furnace didn't work, everything is old and falling apart. no heat in the bath room foundation falling in, garbage in the yard. they took our holding fee, deposit and first month rent a total of $2500 and won't return it because we are breaking the lease. I tried to call them the next day after I got the keys nobody works on the weekend. so today we tried to solve it I told them I would be ok moving to another property and they want another $2700 to move. I rented from UPM for a year. My roommate and I left the property in the exact condition it was in when we moved in. When we moved in, maintenance left outlet coverings off of outlets as they were not finished repainting the unit. Upon the end of the lease, my roommate and I both decided it'd be best to look for somewhere else to live. UPM withheld about half of our deposit, and charged us for things we were not responsible for. Things the photos they provided to us, from before we moved in, proved we were not responsible for. After several emails, and providing them with their own photos we were only able to recover $70 of the hundreds they essentially stole from us. Don't rent from this company. It's a dumpster fire. Nice that we got to see houses the day of with just a code box. I have worked with Denise a lot, not super kind or helpful wont get back to you until it's too late. Super frustrating because houses are going very fast due to covid and she did not work with us still had to have 6 months of income proof even tho our places of business were shut down completely due to COVID didn't even respond to my email. Just denied our application. Super sad. Will look elsewhere now. More...

Horrible customer service. UPM has way too many properties for their man power. There is a complete lack of respect for tenants and personal space. We have had people show up completely unannounced during a pandemic with no masks. Then when we actually need help because our apartment blew a circuit, no one shows up at all. Don’t waste your money on a company that just wants to pocket your cash and disregard your needs. Go somewhere else, anywhere else. If you are considering renting from UPM, DON’T! More...

Poor communication between staff and maintenance. Tenants are not prioritized. It's difficult to get through to the office without calling multiple times. Voicemails are rarely returned. The property was falsely advertised. Overall, terrible experience and I'm only 4 months into my lease. More...

United worked with me to refund a security deposit that was being held erroneously by a previous landlord. Though it didn't benefit him to do so, Tim responded very diligently to all my emails. He was polite in getting all of the facts and mailed me the deposit immediately after getting a sense of the situation. Again, this was 100% a favor to me and to the previous management company that held the property. It was a relief to get the check in the mail after going back and forth with the previous landlord for almost two months. These guys do good business. Thanks Tim! More...
