I'd like to give 5 stars because the food here is excellent as is the atmosphere. The missing star is 100% the bar area service. Victoria is wonderful, it was a pleasure having her after 3 times with Vernon who apparently hates his name and loves himself so much he refers to himself as "Champ" on the bar tab. He disappears from the bar for 20 minute clips at a time. Last visit he wasn't there when we arrived. A waitress served us drinks 20 minutes after we arrived since she couldn't locate him. He made an appearance an hour after we got there, and immediately started hitting on his female coworkers. I felt like I was in a high school cafeteria not a restaurant.Best part was when I caught him looking at his biceps as he flexed them LOL they aren't even that big and he has an awful haircut to match. I didn't pick up on the fact that he rolled his eyes when I was talking to Victoria...husband filled me in on that after we left.On the positive side, every time we have eaten here the food has been amazing. The calamari is the best I've ever had. The poke bowls are wonderful. The queens mix has a little bit of everything and all delicious. The teriyaki beef tastes as if it was cooked on an outside charcoal grill. I have never tasted authentic Hawaiian food so I can't compare this to anything but this isn't too off-the-wall for someone who likes traditional steak and potatoes to try a different ethnic flavor. Was visiting my brother with my mom and he took us to this Hawaiian place.  There is no Hawaiian places around where I live so I figured why not try. The restaurant was so clean and organized.  I got the Mr. Goo's Mango & Pork.  It was good.  I like the mango and cucumber salad with the shredded pork.  I just wish the sandwich came out a hot so that the cheese is hot.  My brother got the Pork Chop Katsu. His meal looked amazing with the egg on top and it came with sticky rice and Mac salad.  I love the Mac salad and would have gotten more if I could. LoL. He said he likes it.  And my mom got the Hawaii Five-O Burger.  Which she actually finished (she never finishes a burger) which says a lot.  She likes how the burger was cooked and the fact that they had sriracha for her to add on some spice.  The fries were good too. I've been here only about 3 times in 3 years. Everything has always been good but after dinner there last night I felt like they've outdone themselves! Everything we had was so good. And the service from hostess, to server (Victoria) to bartender (wish I had gotten her name), was top notch, and very well managed We were treated like "regulars" and had such a good time. And that Mahi Mahi special, I can only hope to get back there before it sells out. I'll definitely make it a point to get in there a lot more often. Thanks Uncles!! More...

You have to like a certain type of food to enjoy this place. Pork, tuna, some steak, and lots of Hawaiian flavors. Drinks are always good and the bartenders/servers in the bar area have always been friendly.

We had a wonderful meal last Saturday night.  Ordered 5 meals with multiple options and shared them among 3 adults and 2 kids.  Everyone got to try "a little of this and a little of that."  Everything was delicious!  Very kid friendly. This place is AWESOME!! Went here for a date night last night and it was incredible. The Uncle's Mix plate was delicious and HUGE! It may have been one of the pretty plates I had ever seen and then I saw my boyfriend's surf and turf, it looked like it should have been in a magazine. And it was so tasty! I consider myself a picky eater but this place absolutely has something for everyone. Extremely authentic Hawaiin cuisine to please every palate. Prices are reasonable and their portions are ample enough to satisfy even the most ravenous of appetites. Chill atmosphere makes you long for a hammock and your toes in the sand. I was looking for someplace different to take my wife and mother-in-law in Bel Air. The name intrigued me so I looked at the menu and was drawn by the interesting mix of ingredients in the dishes. When we arrived, there was ample parking and since it was 3 in the afternoon the restaurant was not crowded. The staff was very very welcoming and attentive. Our waitress was awesome. Best food we have ever had! We tried out Uncles on a recommendation of a family member, after one meal we wanted to know if they catered because we could not imagine any other food for our wedding day and we were not disappointed! From the moment we me with Ben and Tommi we knew we were in good hands. They came to the table with so many ideas about how to make what we wanted work. They presented ideas for things we hadn’t even thought of. We had an outdoor wedding in the middle of the summer, we wanted to have tuna poke during cocktail hour (for those that don’t know its raw tuna) and they had no hesitation in finding the best way to keep the poke cold while in the summer heat. We did not plan on having a wedding cake (we honestly didn’t think it was worth the expense) but the amazing team at Uncles suggested turning their sweet bread dessert (usual served as a muffin) into a small personal cake for us to be able to do a cake cutting! Service on the day of was phenomenal. The staff moved a mile a minute making sure everyone had full water glasses in the summer heat. My husband and I never had an empty glass or had to get up to get food, if we need something they provided it. I have to say my husband and I never expected this kind of service, we just wanted some good food and a bartender, but Uncles stepped up and provided what can only be described as 5 star service and we are beyond grateful for it. Price wise they were on par with every traditional wedding caterer we looked at but they have food, in our opinion far tastier. At the end of the evening when talking with the catering manager we were shocked to hear that this was the FIRST full scale wedding they had ever done. We never would have known, the entire staff was amazing and professional. It’s been a month and we are still getting compliments on how amazing the food was. Oh my goodness, where do I start? The cocktails were delicious, fruity and delicious!! I had the POG juice and was in heaven! ! We got the Aunty and Uncle mix plates. The Shoyu chicken and Kalua pig, mac salad and rice were amazing!!! For dessert we had Malasads.....onolicious!! For sure we will be back again!! This restaurant was awesome! Friendly staff, good service, and clean establishment. Our waitress, Rachel, helped  us navigate the menu and was very helpful.
